Well. Here we are. Just a few short months after I picked up lineart and decided to try and get fast enough to do gifts for people and write a comic, I've done gifts for people and I think I'm fast enough to give a comic a try. So here we go, the first page of Kyrophon's backstory! I don't have an update schedule, but I'm going to try and move forward with this in between doing other work.
I'm planning on having Kyrophon himself narrate the story. Problem is, Kyrophon has an IQ of about 70 and English isn't his first language. I'm going to keep with his broken English for now, but please let me know if it gets too impenetrable.
There's a LOT of TL;DR fluff I could write in this description but the reason I'm doing a comic in the first place is because I don't expect people to read my fluff. Feel free to ask questions though.

Thanks very much! I was quite pleased with the idea for this panel, I want to keep somewhat of a Greek/Cretan influence on their culture even though they are essentially barbarians. Somewhat of a nod to the origin of the original minotaur legend.
Hmm, except in the rare instances where the stars align and I managed to blitz a picture down in one or two sittings, I don't keep an accurate measure of how long I spend on them.
From looking at times when I saved things, I figure the lineart took me about an hour. There aren't a lot of actual layers on the flat colours, so probably 1-2 hours there. The shading here is also mainly large and splashy, so I'd say 2 hours or so?
All told, this was probably fairly quick. What takes me the longest is when there are lots of little, manmade objects, like complicated armour or equipment, since I do each thing (and its shading) on its own layers.

Thanks man! I was really pleased with how this one turned out. I have panel 3 ready to go, but panel 2 is causing all manner of problems, so might be a while before I post any more.
