Continuing my weekly "Throwback Thursday" presentation of canine 'photo-ops', here is another digital picture I'd taken (with the camera feature of my smartphone) during my recent visit to the Swap Shop (flea market) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida...
This time, the pet owner was a customer who'd brought two dogs with him. I had mistakenly thought that they were lightly furred German shepherds, but the owner made the necessary correction - informing me that they were (in fact) two Swiss Shepherds.
My friend Funimal - who was with me that morning - said that south Florida isn't a fitting place for the pair of dogs to be. The Swiss Shepherd (also known as the Berger Blanc Suisse) is basically a mountain dog, but there are hardly any mountains in our part of the 'Sunshine State'.
"Unless you count some of the landfills, like Mount Trashmore", I'd replied, as I took a snapshot of the canine duo.
Watch for more 'photo-ops' of dogs in my "FA" site in the near future...
