Yikes! That book is bringing out the worst that Aro is an using it against him. Sounds just like a common strategy the demons would use against their intended victims. This chapter was full of some heavy action coupled with a cliffhanger, leaving me, as usual, eager for more!
Oopa! This was indeed a deep portion of the tale that will soon lead into yet another pivotal, story twist.
Poor Aro. Poor, poor Aro. The guy just never seems to catch a break. And, in this case, opting out of sleep and working while feeling emotionally taxed and angry played right into the hands of the true essence behind The Grimoire of Ennui. Though, this leaves the question as to what exactly is behind the grimoire in the first place besides foreboding words and soul-sapping hymns...?

Ehehe, ah! I thought maybe that sounded like a song. 8D I haven't heard it before, but I remember wondering if that was from something else or if you just made it up... too cool! :D
I wonder how their battle will go! I hope we get to find out. And... maybe Ham Ham and Hex will wake up from all the noise to help out! I dunno, lots of possibilty! I'm sure we'll have fun seeing what's next. (:

Indeed. There is much fun ahead for all within Aro's mystical workshop. Can Aro be saved? If so, will he come to regret any of his actions as a result of having been possesed by the grimoire? Only time will tell.
As for the song, I couldn't help but toss in some vintage lyrics from the one, and only, Trent Reznor. As I thought about writing the scene, I kept thinking how cool it would be to incorporate the concept of how Trent sang a line and followed it up with a Xel'Ototh-ish re-inforcement. Xel'Ototh of course being everyone's favorite psycho god / ancient from the GCN classic Eternal Darkness. :)
