So here we have Dragonheart, the original alias and costume used by Etrian when he got into the superhero gig, before he took on the name and costume of Shock Dragon. He didn't have training in his storm magic(lightning, water, and wind) when he did, as that came after he had moved back to Coast City and trained with Starshard. And while he did have training in martial arts from Wenyan, he had a more unpolished style that worked around physical strength.

And as a bit of a fun input to this, as the fanart part, Dragonheart got into superheroics by the polar bear superhero known as Frostbite, who gave the costume to Etrian after taking him on a student when the dragon had requested it of the bear on top of expressing interest in becoming a hero from being inspired by Frostbite, and many others.

The idea of Dragonheart being trained by Frostbite was also inspired by 's art featuring his own character Damian being taken as a student under Wildfire, another superhero owned by the creator of Frostbite.
