From my long aborted Rescue Rangers fan-fiction. After a nasty blow to the head, and a fustrating night fighting to stay awake, while watching TV with Dale, Gadget starts dreaming of a hot, hunky werewolf mouse-boy, who retained his intelligent, sweet tempered nature, while being brawny enough to put even Fat Cat's butt in a sling.
It's a role Chris was meant to play, possibly with the same peach colored body fur, as Gadget, which is one reason why his usual splotches are missing here. The other being that having his whole body turn the same color as his hair just seemed right. It's something I've always wanted to depict. As my first serious foray into CG backgrounds, I am exstatic with how this came out. Huge props go out to
Kraden and his Glow effects tutorial, for making such an absolutely perfect full moon possible.

Thanks to him and a couple of other people, I've learned more about Photoshop's brush, smudge, and blur tools, than I have in the last five years.

Well, I actually use two different pencils, for all but little details. Once I've picked out the base color, I try to use a slightly darker one to color to put in some fine shadowing. For example, I used Seanna Brown and Burnt Ochre for his hair and fur. Sieanna was used in places like the points of his hair, and on his face, where his bangs fall on it. When I get it right, the effect is so subtile, the viewer doesn't even consciously notice it. Check out his left ear, it's obvious there, because they didn't blend well.
