
Tinplate Traction: New MTH Electroliner!
Or, as I privately refer to it, "the salmon and green torpedo," both because of its sleek streamlined shape and because its untimely appearance at my hobby shop (after having been pre-ordered two years ago) torpedoed my budget for Midwest Furfest, pretty much eliminating any chance I'll be showing up there this year.
Pity, too, 'cos the prototype of this one operated only a few miles from where the hotel site is...

Funny you should say that. When brianblackberry mentioned MFF's new 2010 hotel, I took a look at it out of curiosity, and it looks about as easy to get to as was FWA (i.e.subway-Amtrak-subway), which I did attend, and plan to do in '10.
And about the same timing schedule-wise (leave afternoon going, leave evening returning). No promises, but it looks do-able.
