While searching for ways to combat the darkness, Riku comes across his best friend Sora, though he finds him in a different state than he was the last time he saw him. Can he find out what's happened and help his friend, or will he wind up falling to the same corrupting influence?
This story is being posted the same day as KH3 comes out, and is probably far shorter than the storyline for the game, but this story probably has more TFs than that game, and likely makes more sense than it will, if I had to bet. If the game is conclusive and makes sense at the end, then Kairi will be a squirrel girl next...or squirrel boy, if that's what people are down for.

A more realistically paced mental adjustment would necessitate a much longer story. This pair of stories is meant to be a short read, around 10 pages.
Realistically, people don't change their outlook a great deal, and when they do, it's over a long period of time under prolonged influence. A story written like that would be at least quadruple the length of this one and take place over weeks of in-story time and be very dialogue heavy. The goal of producing something that was a light, fluffy read meant getting that deep wasn't feasible for the work I wanted to produce.
