From the genius pen and pencil that is
eggplantman
Ok, little backstory. A decade ago, I wrote a story involving a race of alien skunks named tha 'Klathoi', sent to Earth to set up a partnership with the governments of our planet. Trade, knowledge exchange, cultural betterment, etc.
One such skunk, a young woman given the Earth name 'Juliet' upon arrival, was the daughter of a powerful mage - one of the ruling class of the Klathoi. As a mage's daughter, she had an inherent power like all the children, though hers was unique - she could make shadow copies of herself.
As is the fantasy life of a fur writer, Juliet falls in love with a human named Jonathan - the majority of the story revolves around the intolerance of others for such an alien relationship. I won't spoil any more about it, because I might re-post it here!
Anyway, fast forward a bit: A few years ago, a superhero RPG was being formed by my good bunny friend
onidemon, and I needed a hero idea. I borrowed Juliet in power theme and name, but made her a human girl. It was there I got the idea of 'shadow weapons', and to make her a bonafide heroine, fighting in the DC Universe world.
Now, a few weeks ago, I was going through Eggplantman's 'Valkyries' heroine covers, and saying... "Wouldn't Legion look good on that, as the skunk I imagined her to be?"
One commission later, the answer is an inexorable, incomparable YES.
So, a little about this particular Legion - a little of the human history, a lot of the skunk looks, and a whole lot of MURRRR:
Real Name: Juliet Morrison
Code Name: Legion
Place of Residence: New Jersey
Age: 19.
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 151 lbs.
Super Powers: Mass Duplication and Shadow Energy Weaponry (Projectile or Melee)
Prime Team Role Foci: Crowd control/Mass Attacks/One HELL of a Spring Cleaning
Likes: Dancing, Parties, Anything Done in Groups, Practical Jokes
Dislikes: Fast Food, Bullies, Ninjas in Shriner Cars (Don't ask), Party Poopers
Personality: As varied as the many, many bodies she can create. Sometimes a few bodies become sole manifestations of individuality traits, but in general she is very outgoing, playful, yet fiercely protective of innocents and those she cares deeply about, including a demigod of a boyfriend. (Sorry guys, she's taken - all of her.)
History: The daughter of the since retired and reformed ex-villain "Multiple Mephit", Juliet Morrison ran away from home because she thought she was crazy to have imagined 'sisters' around her at inopportune times. When she was found by a super duo of similar outcasts, she teamed up with them to help find a place in society for someone as weird as her. When her powers grew and she found how much she could do, she took the path her father never did, and used her abilites with her new friends as the 'Renegade Angels'. As she gets older, she gets more and more powerful - she can already make dozens of herself. Who knows when, or if, she'll hit a limit?
