I've long thought that if I was going to do the same thing, my muse would probably be a squirrel, since my ideas tend to take a very scattergun approach. If someone was coming up with them, they'd be very frenetic, excitable, easily distracted, and only occasionally helpful animal. Hence, squirrel.

But as I was writing this I thought that's not fair. Occasionally I'll have a very nice, well thought out, somewhat clever idea. So I thought it would be more fun to introduce a second muse (or perhaps merely a different representation of the same one? You'll notice they never speak at the same time.) who's more sensible, calm, knows how to get what she wants, and how better to press my buttons.

Anyway, I wrote this all in one night, and it turned out much longer than I thought it would. I don't expect it'll get a sequel or anything, just wanted to make a few people giggle. Enjoy!
