This is how I felt afer riding the SAW ride at Thorpe Park last week.

http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1037927/

It was exhilirating and fantastic, but I came off it feeling like I'd been hit by a bus. And looking like it.

Trying to get Jiggy's coat to look more rexy. Rex rats are hard to portray in cell shading, I have the same problem with Whitey. I imagine Jigsaw's coat to be very much like my past rat, Gabriel:

If anyone has an idea on how to portray the bald patches and curls in cell shading, let me know!

Background photo taken by me in line to the SAW ride. I knew it'd come in handy!

A lot of people say my rat version does look a lot like the real Jigsaw. Im not sure why; maybe Jigsaw kinda looks like a rat anyway :P

Looking at your avatar, it's no contest :)

and Gabriel *that's my name * was a handsome looking fellow, his fur is unique *I've never seen a dumbo or rex with soft, sparsed fur like that*

LOL Jigsaw looks like a rat anyway! heheehh yah try tellin him that! heheh Awesome piece btw, your work has greatly improved! I think you do really well with cell shading. As far as the cell shading curls, just pick your dark color and drawn them in.

Hahaha! I love how Ziggy's hair is all frizzled and ticked and Jigsaw doesn't look like he much cares she's even there.

I can see how the curly rex fur is a problem to portray. However I love the wisps you did of Ziggy's hair there.

  Hah man Ziggy looks PISSED.
Those eyes and how her hair is all stringy makes her look even more intense!
I really like this, nice to see more of your art again too by the way.

And I think you make John look so accurate as a rat is because of his eyes....it looks nearly identical to Tobin's as him in all the movies.
OH and btw LOVE that random person at the bottom with their arms behind their back, haha this picture makes the perfect background.

I always use pictures of tobin as reference when I draw Jigsaw, even though I've drawn him dozens of times, just to keep him looking right. I think sometimes when you get over familiar with a character, you somtimes lose sight of the little details that make them who they are, so I always try to keep a few pics handy to refer back to to make sure Im still drawing him right.
I do it with most of the rat characters I have that are based on real people. I think its because it'd be so easy to just have a template face and body for rats, and just change the colours to show who is who, but I really like to add individual facial features and such. Keeps me interested :P I'd be bored so quick if I just had 15 rat characters who were all the same except colour and name!

This is pretty awesome and Gabriel is adorable!!!

Of course, seconded on how much Jigsaw looks like him. Nice rendition, and a very good choice for the "hit by a bus" look.

LOL, you now the thumbnail make me think they were giant and that the white one was sitting on top of a smoke stack of a factory.

I gotta say, I love every single thing you draw. Not enough people draw rats to begin with, and the amount of detail you put into every facet never ceases to amaze. Not a lot of people could pull off merging a drawing into a photo, either, which you just did with flying colours.

Kudos, man. Kudos.

(Plus, gotta have some love for John. And, as a result, anyone who can draw him well, human or animal.)
