Final Fantasy was my game to pwn. Kefka never stood a chance! >:D
Celes was always my favourite character, especially for the sequence in which she replaces the opera singer, Maria, and completely captured my heart with her passionate aria to Draco. I cried during the sequence, I honestly did. My heart bled when she tossed the bouquet from the castle balcony <3
I seem to have found a fellow gaming fan of old generation SNES games, and a wonderfully bright artist ^ ^

FF 3/6 is one of the greatest RPGs ever made, plain and simple. Everyone seems to have a hug eboner for 7, but I don't think it's aged nearly as well. 3/6 remains timeless. Celes was one of the more emotionally developed characters, and there was a lot of depth there. The opera scene was classic- one of the most touching moments in gaming history, for sure.
I'm glad you can appreciate it. <3

Yes! It's my favorite too! Sometimes the newer games blow me away but when the dust settles my favorite is always this one again, though I do like all of the others, and love many of them. "Oh my hero, so far away now....." the sound of that SNES-music chip singing was so amazing back then. Kids nowadays would probably laugh at it. :(
For a long time I thought I'd never like an RPG story more. That proved to be untrue since I love the story of Xenogears most of all, but that was an overambitious game story wise, to the point of 20-40+ minute blocks of reading nothing but text with static background slideshows on much of disc 2.
