bear-paws was kind enough to commission this. I was deeply surprised such a well-known and beloved member of the community would tap me to paint one of his new characters! He asked for a pose very similar to a piece I did for Blkdragon but with an emphasis on the muscles and belly. Initialy I was going to follow suit with the other pieces done on Igleskala but after bear-paws mentioned in passing how much he liked the detail on Lizzagon 's piece in my gallery I thought to make an attempt at proper scales.
That and the universe seems hellbent on getting me to paint Artherion which excites and horrifies me in equal parts. It's going to be a long while before I am good enough to paint his Kael with anything approaching "justice."
It was fun to channel some of rollwulf into this piece even if I miss the mark.
