Over a week has passed since Ham-Ham and Hex ventured to Carr. Throughout this time, King Avis Brightwing has grown gradually more worried for the safety of his closest friend and advisor and is longing to hear word of what has become of her and the mission. However, the response he receives on this particular night is far from that in which he had been hoping for.

Oh, Captain Anisa's gang is back! :D Hehe, it'll be neat to hear any more from them and what they're up to at this point. (:
But yikes! D: I wonder if that's really Ham-Ham, and if something like that really did happen! Mixed with the picture for this chapter, I think I have some ideas... but like you do, I'll keep 'em and wait to see what happens. :D Ehehe, seems like a real cliff hanger!

Indeed, and it only gets more intense from here for our lovable friend, Mr. Brightwing.
It actually took me awhile to decide whose profile to use to depict this section of the tale. After all, it has a lot to do with Avis, but the title should be giving away kind of what this whole thing is all about. How he'll come out in the end is anyone's guess. :)
Captain Anisa's crew is but one of many faces that will start popping up during this phase of the story. There's much to be done and, thus, enough fun for everybody who opts to involve themselves in the adventures that lie ahead.

Kazootles! Avis really got himself into quite the pickle this time. However, considering everything he has done up to this point, I suppose he kind of saw it coming.
Will Hex and friends return in time to save the day? Will our valiant heroes be too late to save the troubled king? Could the vengeful spirit of Ham-Ham possibly miss in her attack? All will be answered in the coming section. :)

I'm really happy that you have been enjoying the story. When I started it, I never thought I'd be writing it all the way into Decemember. Furthermore, I never thought I'd be looking at it now and thinking that there is still so much more to go with it.
