Yet another of the Mud Scout recruits poses in her uniform, spotless save for the shoe she's stepped down into the mud with. This is
arisuvixen's hybrid fox/leopard character "Arisu". As with all the recruits, she gets one portrait in a clean uniform. For her footwear, I once again turned to my reference library, and picked a pair of ripple-soled maryjanes from Payless, a style that was available back when platform soles were all the rage. Perhaps she feels the sawtooth tread will offer more traction in the mud, although it may be the case that the mud will provide plenty of traction of it's own--for going down :)
I was going to use a single backdrop for all these character portraits, but that lost out in favor of taking time to make each backdrop different. Like the previous pic, only the character is hand-inked (with a brush), everything else was traced from the pencils using the lasso tool and flood-filled after turning the mask into an object (which works something like a layer, but is confined to the size of the mask that spawned it). Thus, with 39 layers of objects, the uncompressed version of this pic weighs in at a rather hefty 208 megabytes. One thing I did do different this time around was to add some detail to the various grasses to help them stand out a little better against the similar-colored objects behind them.

I had to rush out first thing this morning so I couldn't comment until now, and I had to run around in the cold and have now made myself feel a little under the weather.
Seeing this though, just brightened up my day considerably - she looks stunning in that uniform! I love a girl in uniform, anthro or no.... ;)
RR, I was going to wait and send you details of my other girl later, but I think I'll do it now instead. Just like Leana though, Roxy's not in Western anthro style either.
