Truth in the story: I have seen rats in a cage which were about to be sunked into a hot, HOT water. That's one way to kill'em without smashing them. Also, anyhow, I just can't make my mind to kill them, although my Mom desperately wants me to, or at least, remove the mice body had she found it first (the signal is her high-pitched shriek).

true story: my grandma hates rats/mice rly much, one day when she was in the kitchen a small appeared runnin around the sink, my grandma shout, hit the mice with a wooden spoon, the mice fell in the garbage can squeekin in pain, after that grandma poured HOT water in the garbage can, then she poured bleach and bug spray, the lil fella ended up without a trace of fur, white as milk but with some blood mixed in there :/
