Here's the first character of that new team I mentioned! Meet Andrew "little Andy" Baros! Or as I like to call him... Pudgy Pichu! X3 Cute little fellow isn't he? Oh, and before you ask that's his snorlax themed back pack at his feet.

The other three members of the team should start to pop in a few days or so.

But until then... who wants to give this sad little guy a cuddle?

General Appearance: Having never really lost his baby fat Andrew is rather chubby and rounded, and thanks to his unusual shortness he has the body proportions of a kindergartner or younger. To add to this his body and features still have the young, childish, and soft look normally associated with any mon in the “Baby” evolution category, giving him the look of a kid half his age or younger. He also constantly has a sad, timid, near breaking out in tears expression on his face that causes people to constantly mistake him for a little kid who has lost their parents.

Clothing Style: Has a preference for t-shirts and shorts or jeans, normally anything that fits well and is comfortable… but he tends to try and get clothes that might hide his chubbiness… unfortunately he’s failed at that so far. He normally likes colors like deep greens and blues and avoids anything too bright.

Accessories: He has a snorlax themed backpack that he carries everywhere, he knows it’s not helping his attempts not to look childish any… but he likes it a lot and it can carry all his stuff so he keeps it. He also enjoys keychains and normally dangles one off his backpack or one of his pant’s belt loops.

Personality: On his better days he can be cheerful, eager, and just generally happy… but normally his better days are quite few and far between. He usually is nervous, unsure, and timid. Doubting his ability to do anything right be it because of his lack of skill, his lack of having evolved, or just the fact he’s pudgy and looks like he’d need to hold onto his mommies hand to be let into most places. He’s always willing to try and make new friends and help someone… but he’s usually not too hopeful on his success at it. He also hates being mistaken for or treated like a little kid and will usually try to prove to whoever made the mistake he’s not… normally with little to no success. After which he normally will sulk to his sister for comfort, even if she usually just ignores him.

History: Born the unlikely child of a pro battler of some renown, Apollo Baros, and the owner and head chef of a small but successful restaurant on the edge of Viridian, Cassandra Baros, this little pichu has had a slightly confusing life. Thanks to the fact his parents species normally couldn’t breed they never expected to have children, at least not naturally, but thanks to the fact being morphs evened the playing field out slightly Cassandra found herself pregnant one day. Now while this was unlikely, what they found out next seemed impossible. She was pregnant with fraternal twins… of two different species! Now it’s been know to happen from time to time among two different species parents of compatible breeding groups, but for non-compatible groups this was vastly rare. Of course Cassandra and Apollo didn’t care, they were just happy they were going to be parents… but when Andrew and Jane were finally born they found out that their babies odd conception had left them with a few… unique features. Andrew was a quite a bit shorter then normal pichu even as a child, and he also never was able to lose his baby fat as he got older. These traits made him the target of teasing and mocking from other kids his age and even though both his parents loved him the way he is he found himself feeling as if he wasn’t as good as others cause of his looks and weight. This unfortunately has kept him from reaching the level of happiness that would trigger his evolution into a pikachu, which only serves to make him sadder in an unending cycle. To make things worse, while Andrew has always fared above average to decent in both academics and psychical activities, he feels he’s not living up to his dad’s standards. Due to the fact that he all but worships his dad as his hero this is a major blow to his self esteem as well… even if his dad couldn’t be prouder of him in reality. Thanks to his decent grades all around and a little too his dad’s influence, Andrew now finds himself heading off to attend the PCA with his sister… and the little guy has never been more scared in his life.

Fighting Style: Unlike the common stereotype for pichu, Andrew doesn’t hurt himself whenever he uses any of his electric attacks, but he does suffer from a different problem. Thanks to his added weight he’s a tiny bit slower then most pichu, and he also isn’t able to turn and change direction mid run as easily making him relatively easy to catch for most opponents. He tries to compensate for this by always going for a Thunder Wave first; hoping the shock induced paralysis will slow them down enough to even it out. From there he most just tries to whittle down his opponents defense with Tail Whip and then hammer them from a distance with his Swift and ThunderShock.

Miscellaneous Facts: Since he has helped his mom in the kitchen even since he was little Andrew is actually a very good cook, but he tends not to tell anybody this since they might think the reason he’s chubby is cause he eats a lot.

If anyone manages to put two and two together and figure out who his father is they almost instantly regret mentioning it to him. When his dad’s brought up Andrew tends to go off on long, almost bipolar sounding, tangents about how great his dad is and how puny and weak he is when compared to him.

He has a rather embarrassing tendency to mutter “Chuuuuuuuu” when nervous, very embarrassed, or annoyed, when called on it he gets even MORE embarrassed… kind of causing it to loop.

Still really enjoys cartoons intended for children a LOT younger then him… would just die of embarrassment if anyone found out though…
