Haha, I was smiley the whole time reading it. :3 Hearing about the plushy and night light again (I still have a feeling the light has something more to it than we think), and reading through the exchanges and jokeyness between the two was really enjoyable. This is why it's good to have light-hearted characters in a more serious plot. :D

Yep, yep, yep! Nothing makes a serious adventure more fun than a pair of jovial heroes who, even in the most tense of times, can still make time for a little fun. :)
This was a really fun section to write as, truth be told, I never knew what was going to come out of it until I actually wrote it. Originally, I intended for Hex and Sotelo to only exchange a few words before switching off to some narration and other plot points. However, for some reason, the characters just begged to let me tell more about their exciting, pre-meeting antics. :) You just got to love when the story just seems to write itself.
As for Berto and Kaffre, I have a really fun little section planned for them revolving around a certain Mr. Banana Head and his little troop of eager explorers. ;)

Hehe, that was some pretty humorous bantering going on between those two. I'm happy that Hexx managed to defuse the situation before it got insulting for one of them. "Whacked out hamster chick?" I never thought anyone would ever call her that. But I suppose Sotelo doesn't know Ham-Ham too well yet.
I'm really glad you enjoyed this section. Sometimes you just need a little fun to lighten up all the tension that is going on. Keeps things from getting too serious. :)
Sotelo is not one to hold back how he feels. Especially when it comes to someone he barely knows barking orders at him without giving him a good reason to listen in the first place. Perhaps, with time, Hex can provide Sotelo the motivation he needs to take Avis' top officer more seriously?
