It is mid-morning by the time Hex and Sotelo finally make their way out of the Bennet capital. If Sotelo has anything to say about it, the duo should reach the Bennet, port city of Devo with time spare.
While our heroes go off riding half the day away, why don't we go see just what it is that our young pals, Kaffre and Berto, are up to?

*Laughs bashfully* It's funny to note just how much thought and design went into creating this very section of the story. After all, one cannot bring his, or her, own special characters in without at least having good cause for doing so. Particularly since, as you can already guess, they do not belong in, or around, the Further Realms.

Hehe, I wasn't sure whether it'd be the main cast of hapos we've seen before, or new ones! It's neat getting a peek at three new pals, and Mr. Banana head though. (: And I like their wagony way of travel too! It should be fun seeing what happens as they all get to MJ's house. (:
And even if it exhaust's Hex, at least it looks like him and Sotelo will make their way on time. (:

Yep, yep, yep! This was definately one busy chapter full of fun for just about everyone currently involved in the adventure.
As for the hapos, I had thought of bringing the original cast in. However, at the last minute, I thought I'd give a shot at creating some brand new faces for a change. :)

Hehe, I remember those haposaurs. I honestly wasn't expecting to see some show up in Further Realms, but like everyone else I think it's a welcome addition. Also, I gotta say, I found that all the scenery descriptions stood out to me more than usual. I think it had to do with the entertaining way you transitioned from Hex and Sotelo to Kaff, Berto and the rest. It was very well done!
I'm really glad you liked how everything turned out here. In writing it, I wanted to try a couple of slightly new things to help speed things along while ensuring the reader didn't miss out on any key, or fun, elements.
It was also fun to bring the hapos in for a cameo, too. I've never really tried bringing any of my core characters into an environment outside of their own. This forray into the Further Realms is a first attempt and, thus far, I'm quite happy with the results. :)

Actually, in lieu of simplicity, I was going to make a blurb about how you guys had just stopped by at the town of Azure. However, the discussion it would've involved would've taken an extra three, or four, pages. Thus, sad-to-say, the one stop they made along-the-way can only be implied. :)
On the upside, you guys are going to be arriving at MJs in the very next section of the tale. I wonder what Zee and everyone's favorite bear are up to...?
