As promised - something epic and something new. Not a lot of work I do tells a complete story from start to finish, but I've had a damn good go. Here's a little guide:
Phase I - 0:00 - 1:14
Phase II - 1:14 - 1:47
Phase III - 1:47 - 3:49
Phase IV - 3:49 - 5:25
Phase I
The captured fox, sporting a muddy and torn pair of shorts and various ominous slashes to the chest and back is lead by collar and leash forcefully through wilderness by an army of two dozen wolves. He is taken through a crowd of onlookers of various species being restrained and weeping softly. They approach a lit platform out of reach of the onlookers and the fox is cast to his knees by the wolves. This is "where dreams go to die".
Phase II
Panicked and confused, the fox looks into the eyes of the onlookers and sees his own memories. He is directed to the centre of the platform and a harsh light begins to ascend from the floor. The fox slowly loses focus and it begins to white out and a great rain begins to fall as the fox slips into unconsciousness.
Phase III
In monochrome, we see the fox re-living his life from a viewpoint. He watches on as we see the cub fox forlornly playing in the rain, behind a lemonade counter and sitting in a sandpit. The fox reaches pubescence where he meets a wolf strikingly similar to the dozen in Phase I. They embrace and they hug, and finally we see the fox weeping over a photo of the two of them.
Phase IV
The drums are head again. The rain has stopped and the fox awakens from his coma-like state. The wolf guards do not spy him awake and the fox begins to run, amidst shrieks from the crowd. The wolves give chase, as the fox leaps off the platform and begins to sprint through the crowd, the wolves giving chase and brandishing maces and whips. The fox begins to lose energy as he visibly weakens, but refuses to let his dreams and memories die. He picks up speed and leaps down the face of a small cliff. The wolves stop on the cliffedge, and the fox rolls on the ground, hurt, but free, with all his dreams.
How did I create this? Some of it was a dream I had. Some of it was just letting the music dictate the story. I love this track, particularly the ending - I hope you do too.
Consists of: Brass section, Strings sections, drums, cymbals, flutes, piano, glockenspiel, choir.

Honest mixed reactions: I'm so used to hearing different things from you. I like the drums throughout for sure but I was put off by the sound of the score at the beginning, it just didn't mesh to me (was this because you were mixing FP and GB?) although it had the right intent. Personally, being all about epicness, I would have increased the speeds of some parts - but action music is really hard to write, as any composer will say. My favourite part bar the ending was the reflective part where he's all crying over the picture and such, a touching part, not something you generally associate with Equium.
Must have taken quite some doing to pull this off, well done.

No, this was written on GB. I played out a simple melody and then adjusted it using the piano roll to put it in the right key. The problem, as you well know, you can't adjust tempo outright on GB, which is an annoying point.
But it was my first attempt at any sort of piece like this. XD I did warn you it'd be something "different"! Hehe.

I agree with the iguanodon; though this is a really well orchestrated piece, I don't feel it "epic". I would rather say a movie music; the tone is dramatic from the begging til the 3rd part. The break on the melody (part 3) was really well introducted and announce the 4th a way that force respect.
Not "epic", so, but oustanding anyway ; this is a great piece your made here, and you're right telling you're become better every month
