Special Intermission: Party Time!!
[Naruto Soundtrack-Naruto’s Daily Life]
Just another lazy morning at the Drakes house; Ember and Flame are chasing Carter around for some unknown reason; Kayla, Sophie, and Susie are out shopping for Tyson’s birthday party tonight, Rick and Richard are sparing in the dojo with Terrador, Cyril, and Volteer, Xander and Digit are busy trying to repair the damaged information Tyson managed to recover from the archives, Spyke is working on his dual buster guns to make them stronger, Sparx is being…well…Sparx buzzing around to avoid being snatched up by a bird or something, and Tyson is just lounging around up in a tree with a fern flicking back and forth in his mouth. But where’s Ignitus and Cynder? Suddenly Tyson hears Ignitus below him looking at someone so Tyson decides to drop in…literally!
“YO, Ignitus, what’s up?”
“Gah, I wish you would not do that…its Cynder…” he says pointing over to her. She’s sitting next to a little grotto with her head in her hands with a sad look.
“Oh man, what’s wrong?” Tyson asked.
“Well…the day of her hatching has come.” Ignitus said.
“WHAT, YOU MEAN HER BIRTHDAY IS TODAY!! WHOA!!!” Tyson freaks out and loses his grip and lands on his head, “OWW!!! You mean that’s why she’s sad?”
“After hearing that people’s birthdays are celebrated she’s been like this for some time now…” Ignitus said.
“Oh yeah, that overgrown chimp Gaul had her when she hatched…I got it!” Tyson got up and brushed himself off before he was about to take off.
“What are you planning?” Ignitus asked.
“I’m gonna throw her a surprise birthday party, but you can’t tell her anything about it alright! Tell the others about it, oh jeez, that’s right, I gotta get her a present! Gotta go!” Tyson says as he runs off.
Later when Cynder comes back in, Tyson has already told his mom and the other girls about Cynder’s party so they’re playing all nonchalant and aloof like they don’t know anything about it.
“Kayla, have you seen Tyson anywhere? I haven’t seen him all morning…” she asks.
“Um, He left to go to help a friend of his with some Ride Gear problems and he’ll be back later. But he did want us to take you out into town for a little fun; we can show you how girls here can have fun when they’re not out saving the world.” Kayla said.
Meanwhile in the city, Tyson walking with his school buddy, Roy, just trying to figure out what to get Cynder.
“GAAHH!!! I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO GET HER!!!” Tyson yells.
“Can’t be that hard to figure out? What does she like?” Roy asks.
“That’s just it, she’s never had a, let’s just say, decent childhood. Besides, what DO you get a dragoness for her birthday?” Tyson says scratching his head in frustration.
“Jewels? Dragons like gathering treasure right?” Roy said.
“You gotta be kidding me! They’re not those kinds of dragons, besides, Cynder’s special…” Tyson says.
“Besides being your girlfriend? Uhh, snowboarding?”
“Nah…”
“Uh…deep sea diving?”
“She just learned how to swim, much less deep sea dive…”
“Rollerblading?” Tyson simply gives Roy an annoyed look, “What, I’m just throwing out ideas…uhh…skydiving? No she has wings….world travels…wait, you do that already…uhh, horn polish? I’m running out of ideas man; unless you can come up with something I’d just get her a necklace that matches her looks!” Roy says.
“A necklace…that’s it! I know just where to go!” as he takes off with Roy tailing behind! “Hey, hey, wait up man!”
[Naruto Soundtrack-Afternoon of Konoha]
“So, what all does a birthday have?” Cynder asks.
“Well, some parties have balloons and clowns but because of a little incident when Tyson was a baby he doesn’t go anywhere near clowns anymore, heheheh.” Kayla said.
“Really? So people everywhere have parties to celebrate days like this with their families?” Cynder asked while she gets her back massaged although the massage person is really having a hard time due to her scales but she still feels it.
“Yeah, but even though we haven’t found your real family yet you’re still a part of our family, don’t ever forget that.” Kayla said.
“Your right, all this time I’ve been feeling down because I thought I don’t have a family but it seems that I’ve always had a family.” Cynder said swaying her tail happily, “Y’know, I wonder what Tyson is up too right now? Maybe singing karaoke or whatever you call it and bouncing off the ceiling, ahahahahahaha!!” Cynder has actually managed to pull off a joke and make Kayla laugh at her own son!
*ring…ring* “Yeah, she’ll definitely love this!” Tyson says as he holds a necklace he just bought for Cynder.
“Looks cheap? You sure you didn’t just give a jewelry rip-off artist $6000 for that?” Roy said.
“That’s my aunt you’re calling a rip-off artist, dummy!” Tyson snaps.
“Oops! My bad! Hey do you get the feeling that we’re being followed?” Roy said.
“No, not really. Why?” Just then a small figure jumps out at Tyson’s head as he turns around, knocks him down and grabs the necklace! Tyson gets back to his feet only to find a little brown puppy with the necklace in his mouth!
“Hey, little guy, how ‘bout you come on over here and give that necklace back, huh what do ya say?” Tyson said calling the little guy over but instead…HE TURNS AROUND AND TAKES OFF WITH IT!!!
“HEY, GET BACK HERE WITH THAT YA LITTLE FURBALL!!!!” Tyson screams as he takes off after it!
“Ty, it’s just a necklace, it’s not worth it!! Why do I bother, HEY WAIT UP!!!”
[Naruto Soundtrack-Go Go Naruto!]
This little pup is faster than he looks, every time Tyson gets close the pup takes off in another direction and he ends up crashing into a hotdog stand, Roy tries to grab the little thing when it hops on top of some garbage cans but the pup jumps forward, knocking the lid off one can and smacks into Roy’s face! Then the pup does something crazy, he heads straight for an intersection when the light is still green, “Oh man, this isn’t gonna be pretty!” Just then the light turned red and the cars stopped and the pup didn’t even slow down!
“Oh you gotta be kidding me, what kind of luck does this pup have!” Tyson and Roy take off after the little guy but then the light turns green with them in the middle of the road! Luckily, thanks to Tyson’s powers he grabbed Roy by the shirt and jumped over to the other side just in time! The pup looks back and sees them catching up just then the pup sees Tyson jump for him, unfortunately the pup had just ran into the outside patio of a restaurant and under tables, which Tyson ran into one. Table cloths were getting yanked and dishes were flying as Tyson and Roy scrambled to catch the little troublemaker. The pup takes off across the street with them hot on its tail!
“What is with this dog?!” Roy gripes. The pup runs into a bakery and hops onto a display rack that heads into the kitchen and just as Tyson and Roy enter a row of large shelves began to topple, spilling the cakes the pies and all that good stuff everywhere some of it even landed on them, luckily Kayla and the others had already picked up the cakes for Tyson and Cynder after they dropped her off back home, they had actually just left the bakery a minute before the pup ran in there with Tyson and Roy after it running like bats out of hell!
The pup dashes out of the back door with Tyson and Roy covered in cake and pie stuffs and fed up, “That little monster better hope I don’t catch him, c’mon!” “Just get Cynder another necklace, c’mon man!”
The pup then ran toward the park when Tyson had managed to finally catch the little monster but suddenly out of nowhere, *thwack*, he gets kicked in the shin by a little kid and drops the pup.
“You, no hurt wittle doggie, bad man!” and the kid kicks him again in the same spot!
“Oww, no you don’t understand the pup has my friend’s birthday gift and…” Tyson was interrupted more kids showed up.
“Bad man try hurt puppy, get him!” “Oh man!” The kids dog piled him and kicked him over and over while Roy went after the pup who had climbed the play castle, he made a grab for it but it went through his legs and down the slide, Roy actually followed it down the slide but only found several kids with plastic bats and plastic shovels and proceeded to beat the snot out of him while the pup ran off. Finally their parents came and pried the kids off them giving them enough time to catch up.
“Oh this is just not our day!” Tyson groans as he continues after the pup toward the docks. This pup must be some kind of ‘superdog’ or something cuz it’s moving through the dock mess and jumping through the spaces in fishing nets like a track runner jumping hurdles!
“Ugh, this is like trying to chase Scrappy Doo on crack!” Tyson screams! The pup runs up to the lookout pier that stands over an underwater pit that pulls in anything that lands in it, thankfully that list of things that has fallen in doesn’t include humans.
The pup is trapped with Tyson and Roy blocking the only way out, “We gotcha know, you little monster! Now come away from that edge…NO!” The pup’s hind legs suddenly slip and take it over the edge, Tyson follows but the pup goes all the way over and Tyson jumps the guardrail! Roy thinks he just witnessed Tyson’s death when he hears, *snlik*, he looks over the edge and sees Tyson with his sword plunged into the stone wall and the puppy in his other arm. Sadly the pup yelped and dropped the necklace into the water pit when Tyson caught it.

Soon after the whole fiasco was over, Tyson still has the pup, wrapped in his blazer.
“So, you’re actually going to keep it?” Roy asks.
“Yeah, I mean, the whole time I was just thinking about getting the necklace back for Cynder but she would never forgive me if getting it back meant costing this little guy his life. Besides, he's just a little pup, he has much more to come in his life. Who am I to deny anyone, human, dragon, and puppy, that right?” Tyson said stroking the pups head.
“Well…yeah, you’re right. You’ve always been right; you said once that you were going to save the world back in 3rd grade and look at you now, you were right!” Roy joked.
“Well we still have a lot of work to do but we’re getting there.” Tyson said.
“Well, looks like we’re here.”
“Yeah…hey, thanks for helping me today.”
“No problem, well I guess I’ll be seeing ya.” Roy says as he walks off but before he does he turns around, “Oh, Tyson…Happy Birthday pal. And tell Cynder I said happy birthday too.”
“I will and thanks.” As Tyson walks up the path to the house something catches his eye from behind, a cloaked figure quietly moves out of the shadows and places a box down next to a tree and steps back several feet and hides behind another tree as Tyson walks over. As he looks at the package it…has the same markings that Cynder has on her head and a note attached to it.
“Dear swordsman,
Please give this gift to your friend for me. I know that you want to know who I am but I’m afraid that I cannot. Not just yet, please let her know that she is not alone in this world. I wish that I could finally meet her in person, but I can’t. She has become such a beautiful dragoness despite all that has happened, if you could grant me one last wish, stay with her. No matter what happens, stay with her, she is so happy when she’s with you.
Hopefully we all shall meet in person one day soon,
Tell her that you got this gift don’t mention anything about this.”
Tyson picks up the package and walks to the front door, as he opens the doors the light flash on and everyone jumps out and yells, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY TYSON!!” Later after dinner had been eaten Tyson walks over to Cynder, still holding the sleeping puppy and hands her the pup.
“Oh, Tyson…he’s so cute.” She says.
“You would not believe the mess that this little troublemaker has caused me. And uhhh….I also got you this.” Tyson pulls the box from behind his back and gives it to Cynder.
“Huh, but this is your birthday party?” Cynder said.
“Yeah, I know…but it’s your birthday as well!” As if on cue a banister drops down from the first one to reveal Cynder’s name on it!
“Happy Birthday, Cynder.” Awestruck by the sudden surprise she opens the box to reveal a different necklace. It was a necklace of a dragon that kinda looks like Cynder only a lot longer and snake like curled around a star, as if it’s holding it in place. As she puts it around her neck she sees a second note with her name on it.
“Dear Cynder,
I know that you may not know who I am, but rest assured that I know you. We cannot meet face to face just yet, its too dangerous for me to do so. But we will meet one day soon, and know that I will always be watching over you. The necklace in this box had belonged to me but at long last it can be passed down to you. You and the swordsman have now come of age, which means that your powers have now evolved. Fight hard and strike swiftly, and stay with him, the two of you are the key.
I wish you and I could meet in person but all in due time,
I will however hint that I am someone you do know but have never met,
Until that day comes make me proud.”
Outside the window, hidden among the leaves of the trees, a black dragoness wearing a cloak watches as Tyson and Cynder play amongst the others as it begins to rain. Beneath the cloak, a lone tear rolls down her cheek, “I will see you in person one day, more mature, more developed, more beautiful than ever before. I promise that I will meet you in person, that I will make certain…………my………daughter…” She disappears into thin air just as Cynder looks in her direction.

“Yeah, I know…but it’s your birthday as well!” As if on cue a banister drops down from the first one to reveal Cynder’s name on it!
“Happy Birthday, Cynder.” Awestruck by the sudden surprise she opens the box to reveal a different necklace. It was a necklace of a dragon that kinda looks like Cynder only a lot longer and snake like curled around a star, as if it’s holding it in place. As she puts it around her neck she sees a second note with her name on it.
“Dear Cynder,
I know that you may not know who I am, but rest assured that I know you. We cannot meet face to face just yet, its too dangerous for me to do so. But we will meet one day soon, and know that I will always be watching over you. The necklace in this box had belonged to me but at long last it can be passed down to you. You and the swordsman have now come of age, which means that your powers have now evolved. Fight hard and strike swiftly, and stay with him, the two of you are the key.
I wish you and I could meet in person but all in due time,
I will however hint that I am someone you do know but have never met,
Until that day comes make me proud.”
Outside the window, hidden among the leaves of the trees, a black dragoness wearing a cloak watches as Tyson and Cynder play amongst the others as it begins to rain. Beneath the cloak, a lone tear rolls down her cheek, “I will see you in person one day, more mature, more developed, more beautiful than ever before. I promise that I will meet you in person, that I will make certain…………my………daughter…” She disappears into thin air just as Cynder looks in her direction.
