You have the "first picture" saying that the tube/circle is the most stable geometrical shape is false, sort of.
If the pressure on the entirety of the outer surface of a circle is even the whole way around then a circle is unbreakable. So, question. She has piercings, even though she can go flat. What happens to the piercings when she goes flat? Do they kind of just lay on top of the cells? (I'm assuming of course that the piercings aren't part of the cell structure, and even if they are, it still brings up an interesting question!)

What if a belt was tied around her waist before she went flat? For the sake of argument, what if she swallowed a watermelon before she went flat?

The way I figure it, and tell me if I'm wrong, is that these things would be visible through the semitransparent 'shadow' visage of her flattened cells and would seem to roll/float along as if controlled by a poltergeist.
