A bit of a trade with
achilles. Not like hawt muscle wolves aren't a pleasure to draw as it is.
So yeah, this is based on the Second Life skin he uses, hence the somewhat different facial design than I usually use. The elaborate tattoos are part of the character, so it took a little bit of work to get those right. Oh, and this is all a single piece scanned off the original copy, which he now possesses--no photoshopping or any tricks were used on the large faded version, that's all carefully toned markers.
And I realize the yellow bg is a bit much...I considered breaking it up a bit, but nothing worked. I'm not sure WHAT I was thinking...the grey has a touch of purple in it and by color theory, yellow provides the most contrast. Theory doesn't always work in pracitce x.x I got used to it, but I wish I'd tried blue instead.

Damn, Cody. You really know how to get the tribal pattern down pat! I swear, if they were any more intricate, he'd look like some sort of Native American fur! Very well done!
And you're right... the yellow is a bit loud. I think a dark blue might have sufficed. If not, you can always go with black; that works with just about anything.

That was part of the reason I did the large background shot, because it was REALLY hard to draw them on the inset. Thankee! It's all his design, tho.
I considered black, but since the character is white I felt it needed some other color. I didn't try dark blue, but a pale blue was my 2nd choice. Ah well x.x
