Pi-Rat Long John Sliver
Distinct lack of rats in my gallery so here we go ^_^
I've been studying fabric and reading Burne Hogarth's "Dynamic Wrinkles and Drapery" so here's me putting some of the lessons into practice. I'm working on getting my sketches cleaner-this is better than they were a year ago, but still not at the level I want them to be.
That said, damn, I'm proud of the wrinkles. I'm still a little fuzzy about how to handle torso wrinkles, but I think that stems from my difficulty with necks and torso's in figure drawing. I'm working on that too.
Blitzava thought he has a bit of biker in him. I wonder if that's the bandana? Either way, he's badass.

Again, sorry for the delay on the comment. You said you're proud of the wrinkles, and ya should be. Very nice work on the folds, they show both depth, as well as.. well I lack the vernacular to say it but 'shows the way the body is interacting with it, making it pull this way, or bulge that way, so to say. Cool character as well, and as Anbessa said, a great expression.
For critique, and please forgive me 'cus I'm never good at this, and don't think by saying it I mean 'it's wrong', But it looks as if the right shoulder (Well, his left) is a bit off. Just that the distance between shoulder and neck, is a little longer then his others.. I'm sure you caught that though, and it's not like I don't constantly make that mistake as well. But. Hehe I wouldn't be commenting on the image at all if I didn't really like it. Keep up the good work.

Thank you so much for the comment and critique! Trust me, I'm not the kind that takes offense at all, how would I get better if people don't critique? I totally don't mind, and no I hadn't noticed, I did notice something was off but couldn't name it, by George, I think you hit the nail on the head. My necks and torsos always leave something to be desired, I don't know why I can't wrap my mind around them. I swear, the pecs to the chin and everything inbetween just baffle me.
I really feel the book has really helped me notice wrinkles I wouldn't have before, and also helped me understand how they work. I now look forward to drawing clothes instead of dreading them!
