Not Shortwave 2.0, its Shortwave Husky 1.50 :P
Im almost finished a nearly complete re-build/re-construct the head for
shortwave
The pics to the left, are what was left of him when Shortwave brought him to me when they visited, and before i started the rebuilding. Basically all was left was the inner core with some of the foam left on him, and had to re-construct alot of the foam aswell.
He wanted him re-built and restored back to as close to the original Scribble head it was, so this one was a unique challenge in many ways.
Startign with replacing most of the rivets, broken straps, elastics, and broken jaw, i have to transplant much of the original foam, and do a complete re-furring on the head. The only original parts of him is the eyes, ears, teeth, and basic plastic core. I had to adapt my style to try to replicate him back to the original Scribble style of Shortwave, and keep him looking like the shortwave everyone knew :) so it was a fun challenge.
So here you see a Scribble/Firestorm melded in one. He has my whiskers, my nose, and he has a balacalava adapted into the original Scribble plastic frame with lots of new foam and stuff to bring Shortwave back from destruction.

A crazy amount of work.. and great job! Looks good for sure.
However.. why did you put a belaclava inside? The whole point of the plastic structure is to prevent mildew and moisture from building up in the head and allowing it to dry easily. I'm confused why you would change it away from that... :S

Shortwave requested himself to basically restore it close as it was, so i juat done what he asked. I would not build a suit to copy another builders work as i have been asked to do so a couple times before, just this one is a re-build/.restoration, not a completely new suit.
Thanks LV :) i never like to " copy " other fellow builders works, this was somwhat different because Shortwave is a good friend of mine and i wanted to help him restore his suit to the original condition as he wanted him. :) i have been asked by peopel to build suits several times that woudl look like somone elses, but i decline to do so in every case. i respect my fellow builders like you, Scribble, Java, jillor, Beetlecat, Lacy, and all the others. We are all in the same family of this community and our unique styles out there is what makes the fursuiting world so awsome
