I have a bad tendency to make the snouts of my furry characters unusually long. But, in stead of trying to fix this, I felt like taking this trait to its extreme. Just to see what I would end up with.
With all the 'realism' going around, it felt refreshing to do this. A sort of return to the primal roots.
