This is a creature I created called an Oninu. Here is all the info on them XD

Oninus are pack dwelling creatures with very high intelligence. They are born with varying colours depending entirely on the alpha male of the pack and their surroundings. The only pack that have displayed glowing markings though are the city dwelling pack under the rule of Itokuzu.
They are born in litters of three or four and start fighting from birth. It is custom for the newborn pups to fight for their parents love and food. They are born with short weak tails where the "hand" on the end is barely useable. They are made to train hard with their tail to make it strong and long. In most cases only one pup will get to their first birthday as they would have been the strongest and killed their siblings.
Oninu speak their own language as well as the local dialect of all the creatures that live around their area, be they animals or sentient. They quickly learn to hunt together using growls and yelps as a code to tell others where to go, it also makes creatures and sentient believe that they are just dumb animals.
They all posses long sharp horns that protrude from varying parts of their bodies, once again depending on the bloodline and surrounding, and a long think tongue that has been known to have a plethora of different designs on it. The males all have huge manes around their necks and both sexes have large bushy tails but that is the only fur on them; the rest of their bodies are covered in very thick, but minute, scales that feel soft to the touch. They stand on all fours at around 6’ but can easily be over 12’ on their hind legs. Their back legs are far too long and sit high above their rear end making all of their movements very elongated. They are quite happy to walk on all fours or their hind legs leaving their "hands" free to fight or access high areas. They possess opposable thumbs with allows for a lot of movement in their hands.
Alphas are the Oninu who have the highest wit and the strongest, and longest, tail. It is with these two things perspective alphas fight the reigning leader. These fights can last for weeks depending on the power and skill of both fighters. When the fight is won it is known for new and old Alphas tails alike to grow bigger and stronger. Most Alphas welcome the challenges.
They are known to be able to do basic shapeshifting, either transforming into shadows or growing wings; whatever will help them in their enviroment. The only clan that has mastered this is Itokuzu's. Him and his clan can transform perfectly into humans although the transofrmation only lasts for a few hours at a time and they have a set design. Having this transformation allows for easier deals with other "humans" and stops people from running from them as soon as they show up.

Itokuzu Bio:
Itokuzu is the wicked leader of the Venom Clan that live deep within Rhodura city, the heart of Angel and Hunter businesses. He is notorious for owning huge amounts of property, something very rarely heard of with Oninu Clans. He is also one of the most feared creatures in the entire City but no one can ever find evidence to keep him out of the city let alone in the prison. He runs his clan with an iron fist. He decides which pairings will mate and which wont and currently has 5 children all of whom he has never met. He is known to have a soft side though, taking in strays and bringing them up within his clan. He stands on all fours at 6’7’’ huge compared to almost all other Oninu. He prides himself on his huge powerful tail and is often challenged for leadership but has never been beaten. He currently has no mate.
