Haha, I wish. It's something with the flamingos genetics. It doesn't actually have a pigmentation gene or something, which is why they range from pink to salmon-ish colored (or more appropriately, shrimp colored). All I know is that I would love to try to experiment with flamingo colors by adding things to their diet, starting from birth. Or maybe injecting shrimp with other colors to try to change the flamingos' coloration.
Yeah I just looked it up on wikipedia. =P I remember hearing about something in the shrimps and learning all this nonsense info off of some show on Animal Planet years ago. Probably the Jeff Corwin Experience or something. That show was so random, but look! The info came in handy. =P
