*giggle* This makes me think of two fathers who don't like each other, having to get together to talk about the mischief their kids are up to together! ^.^ It's another great chapter - I love the way you're juggling all these characters!

More on that, with Father's Day coming up here in the states, I wonder if Avis would ever be up for a "Father of the Year?" award? I could see a comedic, side-story of he and Tealeon battling it out over who truly is "Best Dad Ever." Especially as, in truth, neither have any natural children of their own. But, they are role models for their respective tykes. :)

*Hugs* I'm glad you like the way the characters are mixing together to make this story work. It wouldn't be any fun without everyone and I'm excited to bring it all to a climatic, character laden, close. :) *Flutters* Oopa-Gaboo!

Wow. While the prose did get a little purple in places, the dialogue overall practically crackled with tension and hostility.

The timing of Oxnard's interjections were well-placed-- just enough to break the tension up a little bit without deflating it-- likehow a signer pauses for a beat to draw in more breath.

*Nods* I was kind of worried about my use of the purple, action descriptors. As I continue to work on the project, my goal is to find ways to cut further back on them so that the story can better tell itself without me feeling so inclined to describe every last nuance of a character's feelings, intentions, or motions.

Overall, though, I'm super happy you liked the section. It took me weeks to finally get this out, but I feel it was well worth taking the time and getting it right. Here's to more fun and good times to come. *Flutters* Oopa!

Haha, first thing I noticed, as I read about Avis being all bandaged up, is how it's the two birdies from earlier on in this series that ended up getting all patched up! :B
On a small note after that, I think Avis accidentally called Kupok "kapok" and not sure if it was intentional or not. X3
But now I've read the whole thing, and wow it got all intense! It definitely seems like the sorta situations where both dads are mad at the other about what the other's children are doing, even though neither really knows what's happening. If no one gets hurt fighting or anything, maybe it'd be a good idea if Ham-Ham and Tealon go to the mountain together, since Avis is all injured. Buuut that's only if they don't fight too much more. D: It'll be fun to see how the adults work things out! :3
And hehe, I knew there was something between her and Avis! ;P But dun-dunn-duuuuunnnnnnnnn~! Not 'til next time. :D I think the Oxnard parts came out just fine, and ended on a neat cliff-hanger too! I loved the silly way you ended it, so good work!

Aww, *hugs* no worries. After all, no one can ever predict the behavior of grown-ups. Especially grown-ups who really don't like each other to begin with.
