I've always been fascinated with mythology, especially myths that are so old that they have been forgotten. So one of things I enjoy doing is writing/rewriting myths.
This one is about the first meeting of Anubis (who was then called Khentiamentiu, which translates into Foremost of the Westerners) and his twin brother Wepwawet. Anubis leads his people from somewhere in the west out of the growing Sahara and meets Wepwawet in the Nile valley at a place which will one day be called Abydos.
Maybe I'm making this story all up, maybe Anubis told it to me, maybe I was one of those there at the time, or maybe you don't give a rat's ass and just want to enjoy the story... your choice ;P
