Sometimes I really have to marvel at my own wild spontaneity
so I stopped at the dollar store after work, to get more bait for my havahart trap
and I spy in the sale rack a pack of those "Hello My name is..." stickers peeking out from the pile
I dig through and find six more packs, for 30 cents a piece, and have a great idea SILLY CHEAPO BADGES FOR ALL :D
"dont want to buy a 30$ laminated badge, but still want people to know who you are? LOOK NO FURTHER"
or at least that was my general idea XD
so I ran home and did four test badges for myself, guggles, Sharkhead, and Blitz.... just to see if they wouldnt turn out like total shit because I havent done traditional art in forever and I was never too good with markers
but the test ones turned out great, AND I JUST KEPT GOING :D
so I just thought I'd push my skills and make a bunch of badges as examples and gifts for some of my fave artists :D
I hope none of you mind that I used your charachters
and if you want your respective sticker I can mail it to you, if you'd like c:
also I think I'm going to offer these as my first real comissions, if anyone would be interested, because they were so fun and fast and easy to make. I really just loved sitting down and cranking them out for some reason
I was thinking they could be like, 2$ a piece, so I can pay for letters and stamps to ship them all out in. Does that sound like a fair price? idk I've never done comissions before so I wouldnt know :T
also the colors are totally more vibrant on the original ones
my scanner just decided to bleach them a bit for some reason :/

Oh goodness, these are fantastic!! I absolutely adore the idea. ;; My favourites are Blitz, Shark Head, Anjila, and, of course, mine! x) It's a very cute concept, and I definitely think you could make these for commissions. I'd definitely charge more than $2 though! Don't undersell yourself! I'd say at least 5, but you could probably even do more than that, with the amount of detail in these.

I was really freaking out about yours when it came to coloring because I diddnt have any prismas that matched your shade of tan, but I mixed a few together and I think it turned out pretty okay c:

I think I might charge 3-5$ depending on the complexity now, like 3$ for a colored background, but white charachter (which actually looks really cool) and 5$ for one that is full color or has a really complicated charachter design or something. And the only reason I'm upping the price is just incase my old prismas start to die, which some already are, and I need to buy a new set to make more badges XD

OH my, that is actually REALLY REALLY ADORABLE. And no, I don't mind you doing this at all! Haha. This is so cute, I had considered doing something like this before because I had seen HELLO MY NAME IS stickers at Kinko's, but god, I would not be able to work in such a tiny space! I've been to a few cons, and I have two badges, but unfortunately, I use them for decoration. I could totally laminate this (Yes, I know it's s sticker, but one use? PSSSHAW.) and use it for when I got to AWA in September! <3

Eh, everyone's been saying to up the price, but to be honest, I dont really care much about making a huge profit off these things
I mean, 5$ is really as high as I want to go on these, because they dont take me long and they really are pretty simple
and I have a job, so its not like comissions are going to be a vital part of my income, just a little money on the side and some marker practice
and this way more people can afford them as well, which is always nice. c:

I knew someone must have thought about something like this before me, but it just seemed like something fun to do so I went for it XD
and for some reason I work really well in small spaces, but working on a larger scale is harder to do. I guess that's just the way I roll, lol.

I love how much personality are in all of these oh wow ;A; even the names fit the characters I love it!! and I agree, $5 sounds like a really good starting price for these! I can't get over how amazingly well you drew Summer, you captured her personality perfectly and got every bit of her features down to a tee. ;3; it's okay if you don't remember or don't wanna check but what colors did you use for her?? cuz I STRUGGLE SO BAD finding her colors traditionally and you basically nailed them and I must have whatever you're using aa!!

uhhhh, I used prismacolor markers and a Faber Castel "Shades of Grey"brush marker kit. I think I used the "tuscan red" prisma (PM-169) for her nose and pawpads, and the "dark brown" (PM-88) for her ears and paw. Then I filled in her face with the "light tan" prisma (PM-95) and overlapped that with the Faber Castel #272 marker to get the darker shade of the majority of her head, the muzzle and eyebrow are where it isnt overlapped and only the light tan shows through.
and they didn't come out this exact color, my scanner kind of darkened them a smidge, so the actual badge is a tiny bit lighter and more vibrant.
you can just send me a note with your address and I can ship it out, and I dont need any shipping really, its just snail mail so it isnt that expensive XD

oh that sounds lovely <3!! i probably don't have time to make more than one unfortunately, BUT ... ITS TOTALLY OK if you just make me one :D those things just take forever and i hardly have any freetime lately ;_; ... they measure about 3-4" (roundish), but still somehow take me about 3 hours start to finish. MAY BE because i'm such a perfectionist D:
