This is based on a piece I composed a long time ago, but never got around to recording it. It sounded a little disjointed in the original version and something needed to be done about it.

Well for starters, move on from FL. I don't know why people use that shitty program.
If you are planning on torrenting things, go download Ableton Live, and/or Propellerhead Reason.
The punchy sub base instrument is much to loud for the rest of the song, and get rather grating after a short while.
Your main lead is to quiet, and the rest to loud... it is difficult to explain but your bass is not tonal enough to be pleasent.
At the 2 min mark you only have your piano lead. This sounds like a 2 occilator lead with a small ammount of echo. Both occilators have a slight bit to much pitch difference, and this causes the instument to sound distorted and unpleasent.
This might have been the effect you were going for. *Personal crit'. :/*
At :45 seconds you have a low droning tone. This is also conflicting with the rest of the song.
Having the bass notes the same as your lead is not reccomended. It does work in some situations, but most of the time, due to the low sub notes of your chosen instument, it would be much better to keep in key. Folowing the progression of the song, in quarter notes.
Having the bass just cut out like that at 1:56 is suprising. Try fading out a harsher sound for a smoother listening experience.
If you like, have a look through my gallery and feel free to return some nice critique on any thing you don't like, would change, or things that don't fit. ^_^

After reading that I hear what you're talking about. I'm actually saving up to get Abelton Live right now, along with a small modular system.
I definitely understand the kick, I'll fix the levels when/if I do a new version.
The keyboard I currently own isn't very versatile, but I like using the piano on it, the slight pitch difference was actually created with a pitch shifter effect and was intentional.
Thank you for the critique.
Also if you know of any good free programs I could use until I have the money to buy pro-quality ones it'd be great to know.
