Well, that is just fantastic! I would never have imagined I'd just log onto FA and find a piece this good of such an under-appreciated game on the front page.
i've never been particularly familiar with final fantasy but that doesn't stop me from finding this piece gorgeous. i absolutely love how you handled atmosphere/depth.
This is a wonderful piece. The painting textures just really bring this piece together. Fantastic work with perspective, and the facial expression just really make this piece. Things like this just go to show you that you actually can make a stylized piece like this look lifelike.
Me thinks my burmecian Guard Kaz would be falling from the sky in the background in a pic like this =B lol. Clutzy burmys make for funny pics =P And yet i've drawn 0 Backgrounds in the past 2 years =D
this is amazing. i really cannot imagine the patience you've put into coloring every little detail, and it looks like you did it all with like, a 5px wide brush @__@ h-how..!?
FFIX was my favorite of the FF games, mostly because of the feel of the environments, especially the cities... And this really captured what I like about it.
Also, are you a fan of FFT? The shape of their bodies (especially Fratley) reminds me of some of the art from that game. Was wondering if that was intentional/inspired or a coincidence. :o

I feel a little guilty adding this to my favourites when I haven't played the game and don't know who the characters are...but it'sjust such a gorgeous illustration! The sense of texture you've given to this piece is just...wow!
Awwwwww that's wonderful <3 there isn't enough good art out there of Freya just having a good clean time. There's even less so Fratley at all, and even more rarely so of the two.
Wow, it's crazy that I happened upon this artwork! I'm currently playing FFIX right now (haha for the uh....gazillionth time? I LOVE THAT GAME!) Freya was always one of my favorite characters in there! I love this! The environment looks so good too! >.<

Pff, if your artwork is this good within just a year? I'm surprised that you don't have more than 30k views already...
I don't know if you did it on purpose, but you actually drew the buildings to look brand-new, which makes sense given how much of Lindblum was destroyed by the time Freya and Fratley reunite. Awesome work.
There is not enough FFIX fan art in the world and there can never be enough. This painting is wonderful, it's so expressive and lively. Poor Freya, back then it seems she could let her guard down and just have fun. Fratley, why'd you have to be such a selfish jerk? Breaking hearts is not cool bro.
