FINALLY, I get around to finishing this. It's a ref sheet for Elsinore Argent, my lovely alter-ego!

And now you get to hear the long and boring story behind her:

When I was very little, my nickname was "Bunny." Then in Kindergarten they squashed my creative side and made me sign everything with my actual name, Elizabeth. My family and some close friends still called me Bunny, though. When my friends in high school found out about the nickname, they started teasing me about it. The fact that I was born in the Chinese year of the Rabbit didn't help, either. So I decided to make a character who was a rabbit that kicked ass. Thus, Elsie was born.

At first she didn't have a name, she was pyrokinetic, and her hair was made of blue flame. Then my friend got me into the .hack video games, and she morphed a bit into a virtual game A.I. who would go out and kill viruses. Finally, I discovered who she really is, and started writing her story, the first bit of which is in my gallery now.

Part of her backstory, the fact that she gained a lot of strength from her grandfathers, was inspired by the fact that I gained a lot of strength and wisdom from my grandfathers. My maternal grandfather died at the beginning of January, so that was still fresh in my mind when I started writing Elsie's story. I based the fact that her maternal grandfather is a bear and her paternal grandfather was a lion on the animals that my Papa and Grandpa reminded me most of. Thus, Gustave the Lion and William the Bear.

The symbol on her back is that of Ose, one of the 72 Spirits of Solomon. Ose appears as a leopard and has the power to change people into any shape, make someone insane for an hour, and give true answers to questions. She also teaches the liberal sciences. Elsie is beholden to her, the reason for which we learn later in her story.
