Something a little bit different, this time around. These two cute bunny girls were created by
strawberryneko, who then offered the copyright to them up for sale. I don't normally buy characters like that, not when I have so many of my own. But these two struck a chord with me, and since they were going to be abandoned otherwise, I decided to spring for them.
Bunnies always have been my greatest weakness.
I don't know how badly this skirt's FA's "by you/for you" policy, but they do belong to me now, and I'm posting them here in order to confirm the transfer of copyright.
Edit: The girls have been renamed as Abigail and Rachel respectively. Their original names have been kept as nicknames.

Oh, I thought they were really well designed, too. She used just the right amount of color for their markings, and the outfits they're wearing are really cute. The idea of having more rabbits to play with is certainly an exciting one, too! They' have to be in more of a modern day setting than I usually write, but I can handle that. I've written stories set in the 21st Century before, after all. Though the temptation to throw one or both of them into a, strictly innocent, picture with Niamh is certainly there.
With a little bit of luck, they are, yes. I've got a story in progress I want to wrap up, and then I thought I'd take a shot at writing for these two. I can't promise success. Modern settings aren't really my strong point. But they're too cute not to want to play with.
Which sounds awful, but you know what I mean.

Aw! Aw aw aw! These are just two really absolutely adorable girls! I can imagine you would have jumped at the opportunity to own the copyright to them, darling! And not just because they're bunnies...
In fact, if I would have known about this, I would ave probably hopped at the opportunity myself! Uhm... and that was a totally unintended pun, hee! They're just so cute! And withtheir more modern backgrounds, I think they would do really well for you as a pair of characters to write more random, somewhat more modern-time-oriented stories with! Hee, who knows, you could even combine them with your two kitty girls, or use these two darling bunnies as a character pair for if you decide to participate in the Thursday Prompts
In any way, congratulations on acquiring these lovely girls, darling! I'm actually a bit jealous, hee! But I'm sure you will manage to come up with lots of fun story ideas for them, and I will be looking forward to seeing any stories these two might feature in. Mmm... I might even feel compelled to give it a try or two of my own sometimes... who knows, cross-over potential? Who knows, who knows...

*Grins* Well, the fact that they're rabbits did help a bit. But mostly they're both character types I enjoy writing for, especially the little tomboy bunny. I have a feeling I'll have lots of fun with her. As it happens, I had decided to incorporate these twins into at least the same world, and the same town, that my kitty girls inhabit. So it's quite possible that they'll end up in a story together at some point. And they may all be subject to Thursday prompts, since I'd already decided to keep the kitty girls exclusive to FA.
If I'd known you'd be interested, I might have mentioned them to you, myself. I think you could write some really cute stories around a rabbit character or two! So, speaking of cross-overs, if you're interested, I'd be glad to let you play with these girls a bit sometime. I'm still kind of working on getting their stories and personalities fleshed out a bit, and I haven't decided yet what the rating cap would be for them. Though I'm likely to keep them fairly innocent. But it might be neat to see what you do with them!
And who knows? There might even be the possibility of a big three-bunny commission with them and Niamh, together, maybe as a "welcome to the warren" sort of deal. My bunny needs some more of her own kind to keep her company.

*giggles and winks*
Yes, I can so totally imagine that the fact these two lovely girls are bunnies played a fairly big role in your eagerness to adopt them. And after all, who can blame you?
I can definitely see a good number of possibilities and options for both these two girls and your kitty sisters to work with for the Thursday Prompts. I have found myself that having a character, or a set of characters, for the Prompts specifically helps a lot in coming up with good ideas for the weekly word of the Prompt. And it can een have very pleasant side-effects; look at how well Mara and Celeste developed and grew into my most popular characters! And they were initially just plunked down on paper as randoms to have a pair of characters to do the Thursday Prompts with
*giggles*
I must admit; I would have loved to have them, because they're so adorable, but I must also admit that I already have so darn many characters that it might be better that I didn't get a hold of these girls. They deserve lots of love and attention, and with how many characters I already have, I have the feeling I might not have given them all the attention they deserve
But thank you! Yes, I do believe that I would be quite able to come up with some cute stories, or at least scenes, for girls like these, regardless of whether any of the situations would be more mature, or absolutely clean and innocent. I'll definitely keep your offer in mind, and who knows, perhaps I might surprise you sometime with a little story that just suddenly popped up in my mind and which I had to writeout because it fit them so well
Hee! And you're so right! Bunnies of a feather flock together, after all! And these two darling girls certainly do deserve a nice welcome into the warren! It would be really cute to see a picture of the two of them together with Niamh sometime

It would be nice if I could get a set of popular characters going, whether they were these bunny twins, or the kitties, or all four. I don't know if they'd ever be as popular as your Mara and Celeste. You've actually hit on something pretty special with those two. But a little something would be nice. And, Thursday Prompts or no, I've got several ideas for them already.
I hope I can give these girls the attention they deserve. I've got a huge collection of characters, too. As I said to someone else a few minutes ago, I've already got two full novels worth of characters, plus more on the way, and that's not even touching my human characters. But, since I'm planning to keep these two exclusive to FA, they might be able to shine yet.
*Grins* You're most welcome for the offer, of course. Naturally, it's just if you feel like you want to write about them, but it will stay open for as long as you like. (I probably won't be averse to mature stories or setting with them, either. They are eighteen.)
Oh, I'd love to get a picture of the three of them together. And it might be nice to have a little variety in my gallery, too. As much fun as I have with Niamh, a few new faces never hurt anything.

I must admit; I had certainly not expected Mara and Celeste to take off like they did! I do indeed seem to have struck a chord with that couple, which is kind of funny because I do have plenty of characters who are very similar to them, but who never managed to position themselves so prominently in the spotlight as Mara and Cee did. That's not to say I'm not happy about that, of course! They always are such a pleasure to write for, and they're even looking to be the very first of my characters who will make it into official print; I'm working on putting together a bundle book of the Mara and Celeste stories, which I hope to have in print before the end of the year
I know what you mean; with as many established characters as you already have, it's always a bit tricky to give the proper amount of attention to any new characters. I have seen it happening to my own collection as well; there are many who are collecting dust in an old folder on my external hard drive, and with Mara and Cee taking up so much of my time, my other story series and the characters thereof are on a bit of a backburner But with you keeping these lovely bunny girls, and your kitty sisters, exclusively to FA, and even in a time setting you don't usually write about, I do think you will be able to give them decent amounts of attention. After all, since the stories you'll be writing for them are fundamentally different from your usual stories, they can be your "breath of fresh air" characters for whenever you want to do something completely different
*chuckles and winks*
Wheven my mind has a bit of free time to spare to wander around, I will most definitely be spending some thought on these girls to see if I can come up with any scenes for them. *big kitty grin* But since a certain naughty-minded brown bunny knows, the mind of a certain winged calico kitty ain't too clean either, so it's quite possible and even likely that some scenes might involve a decent level of, shall we say, maturity
Hee, and you're absolutely right, they will make for a nice bit of variation in your gallery as well. Also together with Niamh; her basically brown fur with some light white accents and the basically white fur of these girls with some small brown accents complements each other very nicely!

Ooh, a book! That does sound exciting! Best of luck with putting that all together, and once it comes out, I'll definitely have to buy a copy from you, if I can. I can't think of two more fitting characters for your first foray into print, either. Though, I'm not sure why they've proved to be so much more popular either. My guess would be that maybe they appeal to a broader reader base, while some of your other characters delve into more specific sorts of kinks and interests. Which is just meant as an observation, not a criticism.
As for these girls being my "breath of fresh air" characters, I think they might be just what I need. I've been in a bit of an artistic slump since I finished the rough draft of my second novel. I like to let something that big sit for at least a year before I touch it again. So in the meantime, I try to move on to small projects. But nothing has been working out. I have plenty of ideas, but they've all been turning into things I've written before. So I'm hoping that, with new characters, and a completely different setting, I might be able to move on to something worthwhile at last. And in any case, I think it'll be a fun challenge. I've never written for sporty types before, never mind girls who have been set up to be cheerleaders!
*Grins* Naughty-minded, she says! Just because my mind's in the gutter something like 98% of the time! I... can't really deny it, can I?
I have a feeling I might be doing something a bit more adult with these characters, eventually. Part of the reason I created Amelia and her girlfriend were to have characters I could use in another attempt at writing erotica. (Her girl's a vixen, speaking of stereotypes!) I'll probably do a few clean stories first, though. I'd kind of like for all of these girls to be seen as people first. But don't feel you have to wait on me.

Thank you! And yes, I will most likely do my publishing through Lulu.com, since my audiene is mostly in America, and an online print-on-demand type of publishing just seems to work the best for that. So once I will have managed to collect a fair amount of short Mara & Celeste stories to make into a decent-sized book, it shouldn't be too hard to obtain a copy of it! *giggles* I even have the most adorable idea for the cover, too... so I will have to commission an artist to do that picture for me, and it will be so very much capturing the essence of Celeste!
And indeed, it might be exactly that which has made Mara and Cee so popular; they're both unique in their own way, and at the same time generic; people can relate to them and their slice of life stories. And since they're so easy to write for, I can indeed put them in a whole wide range of situations as well. Plus, as you also noted before, the way they react to one another andthe way they complement one another without going into extremes individually is also something that most likely has contributed very much to their popularity.
Yes, I know what you mean; as nice and wonderful such big projects are to work on, they can pretty much frain you, and when your characters for such a project are firmly established, it just doesn't feel right to put them into completely different situations, so it's good to have a couple of 'free' characters you can do just that with Hee hee, and what with the small backstories these two bunny girls already came with when you acquired them, they will work well for giving you a pleasant challenge every now and then, too! And of course, if you ever need help... I do have a quite established character who is even bubblier and sillier than Celeste, and who also happens to be a cheerleader
*chuckles and winks, playfully poking out her tongue at the bunny*
Hey, and like you, I'm ju-u-ust making an observation here, bunbun... and what a lovely observation it is, too!
(Regarding that; the character I just now mentioned, my cheerleader kitty, is established in that more mature field as well; she was a cheerleader captain in high school, and when she came to work for the adult movie studio my secondary fursona Maunzi works for, she quickly made the spotlights with her own series of cheerleader-themed adult movies )
*smiles and nodnods*
But yes, I know exactly what you mean. As much fun as it is to write erotic stories, it's something you should not specifically use or create characters for. I did that in the past, and while it worked, it also proved that those characters were unusuable for other kinds of stories. So it's best to keep both these bunnies and your kitty sisters in a somewhat wider setting, like I do with Mara and Celeste, and Minty Mouse and Dusty and Fifi; sex optional, and likely, but not imperative. After all, it makes your characters alot more believable when you portray them as regular girls with a regular life, in which, sure, sex will sometimes happen, but not all the time as the main focus. Although it won't take away that reading or writing naughty stories with eitherthese cute bunnies or your sassy kitty sisters will be a very big pleasure

Oh, good! I'll definitely keep an eye out for it, then. And a cover featuring Celeste sounds like a really nice bonus, too. She's such a cute little kitty.
Generic sounds a little harsh for the two of them. I think they're anything but that! But it is true that since they tend to lead fairly normal lives, for all that they live in a mansion, it's easier for people to see themselves in the sorts of situations they are shown in. But I guess you want at least some of that in everything write, unless you're targeting a very specific audience, anyway.
Aw, and thanks. I might just take you up on your offer sometime. I was a band geek in high school. The most I know of cheerleaders is that they always looked so cold, in their short little skirts, during the football games. And they were kind of fun to watch. *Blush* Though I'm sure your cheerleader character could probably say a thing or two about that, too. She sounds like she'd be a fun character to see around sometime, too!
As for my new girls, I will have to say that I love their little outfits. You know how much of a weakness I have to skirts already. So I'm sure I'll be keeping the cheerleading angle just for the uniforms. Their school colors are much prettier than mine were, too. (I had orange and black for my high school colors. Good for Halloween, lousy to wear on a uniform.)
*Hugs* Thanks for all the comments, and the offers of help with my stories. As always, I really do appreciate it, and they're fun, too. Good luck, again, with your book, and with finding an artist for the cover.

Yup! Come the time when I get closer to the completing of that project, I will definitely make some announcements! And indeed; both Mara and Cee will show on the cover in the picture I have in mind, and of course Cee being there will be one of the major attractions!
*chortles*
Yes, well, I used 'generic' by lack of a better word, because they are of course pretty unique in their own ways individually. But insofar as their lives are concerned, they are not different from any of us; just a pair of girls who live together and go through life together, dealing with the world as we know it and everything that goes on in that world. And that is still one of the widest ranges of a subject there is, as it does indeed not specify on one certain target audience.
Hee, and I'll be most glad to have you take me up on that offer, too! I must admit; all my knowledge of cheerleaders comes from what I have seen in movies and such (so therefore my view on cheerleaders is most likely quite stereotypical ) as that whole thing of college sports teams with cheerleaders and everything is not something you see very much in the Netherlands - if at all. I know that I for one sure never saw any of it down here
*giggles and winks*
But indeed; my totally bonkers, zealous, bubbly, valley girl hippie cheerleader kitty Lilac Plush can tell your bunny girls a thing or two about the chilly drafts that can creep up those skirts... especially since she is quite known for omitting certain things that are usually worn under those skirts
*grins and winks again*
As for seeing her; that can be arranged...
This is a picture I commissioned of her once, drawn by a wonderful artist who unfortunately is not on FA anymore. Such a shame, because she sure did awesome artwork! And she put such a sense of life into my characters, too!
This is one of two pictures by Brian
neuromanson O'Connell that I digitally inked and colored myself, showing Lilac in one of her favorite cheerleading outfits; the smiley face one!
And this is the second of the two sketches of a generic kitty cheerleader by
neuromanson that I digitally inked and colored myself to make her look like Lilac, this time in the cheerleading outfit of the high school where she, after leaving the studio, started her new career as a cheerleader coach; Sovan High
Hee, and yes, I know what you mean about the outfits; they do look very lovely, alright! And I can certainly imagine you would wanna keep them as cheerleaders just for that! Hee, orange and black... that's actually the colors of the sports team my youngest aunt and her husband were member of
*smiles and huggles the bunny back*
You're very welcome for the comments and the offers of help, darling. It's always nice talking with you, and it'll be fun helping you with your more modern-style stories, too!

Well, yeah, they are pretty ordinary, as far as their overall story is concerned. I guess I just balk at "generic" because it has a rather more derogatory tone, to me, than do words like "ordinary" and "everyday". Call me picky.
As far as cheerleading is concerned, I probably ought to know something about it. At the university where I got my bachelor's degree, their cheerleading team was almost as popular, by itself, as any of the sports teams. It was also the first place where I met male cheerleaders, too. A concept so foreign to my rather Conservative, sexist high school that it would have made some heads explode! They were actually really good, too. They did things more akin to circus tumbling, than simply standing on the sidelines, shaking their pompoms, and other things. But I never went to any sporting event I didn't have to, so my view of cheerleaders is likely to be fairly stereotypical, too. Ah well, there's always something new to learn, at least.
*Grins* I see what you mean about Lilac and her lack of panties! I'll bet that would get a little chilly at times! Oh, but she's really cute, and she does look like a cheerful sort of girl, most definitely. Not to mention quite athletic and limber. I can only imagine how popular that must make her in her acting career. They're all nice pictures, too, and I quite like the ones by Brian O'Connell. I've been a fan of his for a long time now. It's only a pity he doesn't finish more of his art up beyond the rough sketch stage. Ah well.
Thanks for sharing the pictures of her! You really do have a nice collection of commissioned art, and it's really generous of you to share them with me!

Oh, I know what you mean; I actually have the same thing, but then the other way around, as in Dutch, the word "odinary" has a slightly more derogative connotation, which is why I usually steer clear of that word. Ah, the fun of language barriers...
Hee, and well, I have to admit; there is not always very much wrong with stereotypes! Especially around places like these, and for certain activities such as cheerleading, it's actually exactly the stereotypical things that are the most popular, after all! *chuckles* And with that being the case, I can actually combine my very scant knowledge of actual cheerleaders and my eloquent writing into making it seem like I'm an authority on the subject
*chuckles and winks*
Yes, Lilac is a cutie, ain't she? Very tall and slender, too; she is, aside from my own fursona and one or two of the members of Zinzoline's band, one of the tallest and slimmest characters I have. And what with her totally free and hippie-like upbringing and all, she is also among the most free-spirited of my characters where it concerns nudism and eroticism and such... heck, she comes from a family with seven more sisters, and two of her younger sisters are now in the cheerleading team Lilac was captain of when she was in that high school herself, and she often helps out with coaching them. And since all those athletic moves are always done best in the nude, since then those pesky clothes don't hamper the motions and moves, well... you can guess what tends to happen
You're quite welcome, too; I'm never too shy to sharethe pictures I had commissioned, or in the case of those other two pictures of Lilac here, the ones I have worked on myself. I agree; Brian O'Connell's artwork is amazing; what he does with colored pencils is just OHMIGOD! Therefore it is indeed quite a shame he leaves so many of his lovely pictures in just the sketch phase... but since I'm learning some Photoshop tricks such as inking with the pen tool and all, I can still take some of his pictures and turn them into quite lovely representations of some of my characters (which, of course, I usually just do for only myself, since it is not really my artwork, after all).
*chuckles*
But yup! Lilac is one athletic kitty, alright! Very flexible and limber, and not just in her cheerleading moves, either...

Oh yes, there is the language barrier to consider, too. Though, to be honest, if I didn't know where you were from, I'm not sure that I'd have guessed that English wasn't your native language. There is the odd turn of phrase here and there, but for the most part, you actually do a better job with the English language that so many of the people I know who were born and raised in the United States.
And no, stereotypes aren't always necessarily bad. They have to get their start from somewhere, after all. It's just when they stop people seeing others as human that it turns into something negative. Which, in the case of these bunny twins, shouldn't be much of a problem for me. Whether I created them, or adopted them, I do tend to get rather attached to my characters, and do my best to make them as rounded as I can.
*Grins* You and your tall characters. But hey, who am I to complain? As I've said before, there are certain advantages to being short, when the tall beauties are around. She does seem quite free spirited, too, but that's no bad thing, either. I've said before that the world could use a few more role models on the positive side of being unashamed of your body, and your sexuality. From the stories you've written before, I'd say you could probably do a really good job of showing that, too, while not letting it devolve into mere smut.
*Blush* That said, I'll bet she makes an excellent athletics coach. And I'm sure her limberness has all kinds of fun uses to which it could be put, too.

Yes, I believe I did mentioned it sometime before, and I do have it mentioned on my front page here, but I do still get a whole lot of reactions in the vein of "WHA?!?!?! English is not your native language?!?!" Well, but it's true; I'm fluently bi-lingual, and I've always had a knack for English. Plus the fact I've been taught it as a foreign language does help to obtain a certain level of perfection in it
Ah, and you're definitely right. I've found that even when I was just writing a story for a friend that featured their characters, I still got quite attached to some of the characters, and did my best to give them more depth and personality, because I just felt they deserved it, even if they were not my own characters but characters I only wrote one story for a friend with.
*giggles*
Hey, and what can I say? I like tall! I am quite tall myself, and I find something quite attractive in length Plus it does indeed also provide some very nice... well, views, for the other people who are much less tall, especially in the case of ladies such as Lilac And indeed, even while Lilac is certainly no stranger, and definitely not shy, about even incestuous relationships, the way she has been raised, and the way she treats life, her body, and her sexuality are still so cheerful and free and open that even such more kinky things retain a certain sense of innocence and cuteness.
*giggles*
I do have to warn you a bit, though... because as cheerful and bouncy and bubbly as Lilac is, she is a character who shot through into an extreme with that pattern of behaviour, and she turned out, quite simply; utterly bonkers! As in super-hyper-nuts!

Oh, always. I could probably write nothing but bunnies, and be happy with it.
I don't really need more characters. I've got two or three novels worth of them already, and more keep popping up. That's before you count any of my human characters, too. But they were too cute to pass up, and I thought they'd fit in nicely with a Fur Affinity exclusive project I'm working on putting together. That, and I kind of need more enticement to write for a modern day setting. I kind of default to stories set a thousand years ago, or more.

True, bunnies are full of win, and amusingly enough for a story I started before my writers's block returned it did happen to include a bunny named Caramel. ;) Doubt I could adopt someone's character as my own, I'm really inhibited about writing/creating using someone else's creation. People seem so quick to flip out when they find your writing of the character doesn't gel with how they see it.
Yeah, Butterscotch and Caramel seem to be pretty common names. So I've ended up giving these girls proper names instead, and holding their originals for nicknames. But it's kind of interesting to see how many of them there really are. And I couldn't really write for somebody else's character, either. No matter how much I might like them, if I have to stick to what somebody else wants me to do, it just stifles the writing process too much. Even if they give me the freest rein possible.
These girls are a little bit different, though. I hold the copyright to them, and may do with them as I wish. All their original creator asked was that I keep their designs as close to her original art as possible. But I'm not going to have to answer to her for any stories I write about them, or any pictures I have done. Naturally, I don't want to violate the spirit of the characters too much. I wouldn't turn them into porn stars, or hardened criminals, even if I were inclined to write about such things. But all the important decisions are mine, and that's what has let me take them and make them my own.

Well I never got that impression, I only picked Caramel for her name as she was a bunny working at a carnival concession stand and wanted a food name for her since storywise I was trying to find a name to go with 'A taste of ' for the title. So never really noticed it being that common, although Butterscotch does seem pretty common, in fact now I'm going to have to create a character with that name. :D For me it's just the problem of someone taking offense that 'my character would never do/think/wear that', can't even really do stuff with characters like Renamon or Krystal for similar reasons.
I look forward to seeing what you create with this pair, and how you work at making them feel to you and us that they're yours within the bounds of who you feel they are. Should be a fun experience.
