A long due commission for 
kiffin~! Thank you for your patience and for commissioning me, I had good time drawing this. <3

This pic was in many ways a learning experience for me, again I know Photoshop a little better. For an example I made a brush of my own first time since dabbling with Photoshop 7. I get a feeling I should do that more. >>;

Yes it can, and the more you learn it the better it gets. ^^ And you almost had it; the field of grass is made with my brush. I have to give you more credit for your guess though, I fist planned to make a brush for the flower too, but I just ended up making three different ones and copying them around. Trickery! >>;

I'll even give you a bit of extra help in getting awesome brushes and tricks for Photoshop 7... you should really go and have a look at www.obsidiandawn.com when you have the time. There's tons and tons of brushes and patterns and tutorials and everything there, and it's all for free, too!

I'll make sure to take a good look at the site later, it seemed very promising at a glance. *bookmarks* I prefer to make my own brushes etc. when I can for both learning purposes and so I can use them freely, but I'm sure the site will have interesting examples, tutorials and so on. and yes, I know what you mean! I have to admit, though, a number of the brushes on there are absolutely amazing, like the fur texture brushes and the water brushes and such... but yeh, making your own is both a good learning experience, and fun to do! And I believe there even is a tutorial on that site for that I have found it quite helpful for learning some tips and tricks (and for getting some good transparent-background PNGs and such to use in my own attempts at coloring artwork )

Glad to hear the site has already proved helpful to you! I took a look at the water brushes you mentioned, I have to say you weren't exaggerating; that's the kind of stuff I might end up having to borrow if my pic required them, it's very hard to make them look natural, <;3

I so know what you mean. all those bubbles and ripples and waves and splashes and such is almost impossible to make it look natural when you're drawing it yourself, and I must say, I didn't quite know what to think of those insanely large brushes that cover about the entire picture at first, but when I experimented with them a bit, I found the result to be stunning!

I'll definitely be looking forward to seeing new art from you that might have some effect from those kinds of brushes in them! Then again, I'll definitely be looking forward to seeing any new art from you anyway!

Hehe, yes. x3 All this talk about brushes makes me realize how little I've actually paid attention to them. Well, I'm inclined to change that, let's hope it will show in my future digitalarts. Thank you for the compliments too, there should be some more chuarts soon enough, I have a bit of backlog with posting doodles.
I have to admit that I have maybe too many irons in the fire commissions wise at the moment, but when I get some of those done I would be more than happy to take yours! I had lots of fun working with you last time. :3

You're very welcome! And yeh, it takes a good deal of experimenting and practicing and trying out things to get a feel for all those different kind of brushes, but the results can be so awesome! And I will definitely be looking out for more art by you, although of course your real life and everything you have going on in there does take priority
And of course, as much as I'd love to have more pictures of my characters drawn by you, I am more than happy to wait until you are open for commissions again After all, you have to take your time to finish all of your current projects so you can be sure they will all be up to your standards!
