The back-story of the convention was written by thadiuseffingham and ether-drift and I wrote my story to go along with it. The comic was printed at pamphlet size and given free with the program book. The convention had some fun skits of the major characters culminating in the announcement of next year's theme.
In Ether's story I had the impression he was a stalwart WWI guy or British. It just seemed British to me. Ether was not supposed to be British but I wasn't able to contact him with the short time I had to work on the project.
