It is true, and it's something that's easy to forget. There are so many out there desperately trying to tear down anyone with success, it can be easy to get caught up by someone's failure and think it undoes everything that person has done.
B-Hop lost, and that's not going to change. But it also doesn't change the fact that B-Hop has inspired countless bunny sports fans who at one time were told prey like them couldn't compete against cougars and wolves.

Hey he's not the only one who needs to be reminded of this.
Would you believe even a King is very touched by this and realizes without a doubt this applies to his plight as well?
Whoever made this may have just saved my very existence here.
Only time will tell but thank you so much for sharing this much needed motivation with me.

Pretty sure this is a message Val's trying to drill into his head keeping him away from the stress of his team. Showing him life is still going on and that he's still who he is and who he made himself out to be. You're able to clear your head when you're taken out of your element and able to see yourself from the outside. Take his mind off of things... though she's probably doing it just as much for herself as well, doing something unlike her to find out who she really is as a player, maybe see this whole thing like an old Native American 'vision quest'. Who are you really? Is it ONLY your victories that make you who you are? If so does that mean your teammates only matter if you win? You share wins together, yet you take yourself from them when you lose... a team pulls together, win lose or draw. Val's still gotta learn that from Lance and Sheila before their careers take them from the Pride.
B-Hop is a ferociously competitive player. The benefit is he drives himself endlessly to success. The price is the agony he feels when he loses. When he sat down at that table, the last thing he wanted was to be recognized. He felt so ashamed of himself, collapsing on the court in front of everyone, unable to play with his team, to get into the Finals-- all he wanted was to vanish, go someplace no one would know him and just sit and think about how many he's disappointed, how many hopes were crushed all because of his failure.
But maybe in this moment, he sees things a little differently.

The good news in this story is that the injury isn't that severe. In fact, if he hadn't been playing on the injury in the first round of the playoffs, he probably would have been 100% for the semi-finals. B-Hop will come back in the next season and be just as dazzling as he ever was.
Though it's true-- one day B-Hop won't be able to do the things he can now. But even when he retired, that little bunny in Dakota is going to be cherishing that autographed photo.

Heh, not quite sure what That Fateful Diner is, but for me, this is the night of the game. The team was about to fly back to California, but B-Hop was just too emotional to face his teammates. Needing time to vanish and be alone, he put on his street clothes and just found some South Dakota diner to sit in and disappear.
But as it turns out, even in Sturgis, it's hard for the bunny baller to disappear.

o-kemono is the truth. I can't get over how amazing this piece is. This is just spectacular work.
Absolutely touching piece...
I had wondered why the little bun had a Ryan Malone jersey on, but then I totally realized that this is the diner in South Dakota that B-Hop went to instead of taking the team plane back to CA.
This really is a fantastic work of art. Great moral too. ^^

Yeah, you got it. This is supposed to be taking place in South Dakota. The way I see the story, after the game, the team was on the bus back to Rapid City, but when they got there, B-Hop refused to get on the plane. He took a cab somewhere outside the city and found a diner where he figured he could sit and no one would recognize him.
But some bunny family that just got back from the game in Sturgis was at the same diner and one little tyke did recognize him. A Bikers fan, of course, being from the area, he still loves B-Hop for being the most prominent bunny in the FBA. He had a photo with him, just in case he had a chance to get Hopper to sign it at the game. That didn't happen-- but was a treasure to find Hops sitting in that diner!
