My... Second high profile commission.
This shows the first time Dave (right) and Beta (left) meet. It's an unusually bright day on the primarily swampy planet of Digi, in the Eastlasoruna cluster. Dave is up in the mountains surrounding Digi City, which have more of a rainforest-like environment. She stops at a brook to take a drink of the cool water when she spies a curiously tail-like structure dangling from a branch in front of her. She looks up and, to her surprise, finds a little wyvern, his wing damaged from some kind of fight.
Out of the kindness of her recently traumatized heart, she takes him as her "pet;" nurses his wing back to health, feeds him, talks to him. They become the best of friends. :3
I absolutely LOVE how Beta looks. He so dang cute!! Even though he's got that subtle frown on his face.
Saarl seemed to have a bit of trouble drawing Dave. I requested, like, 4 changes to her in the sketch stages? *shrugs* Maybe I'm just too picky about how she looks. In the end, she turned out pretty dang good! :3
The background just makes this whole thing come together. o3o It's... amazing. Look at that detail! What's even more amazing is that this whole image only took Saarl, what, 4 days? From sketch to fully painted. She's either really fast, or had nothing else to do. xD

The characters there are very nice; better than this one. But the bg is a little lacking. that one was $130.
Both artists have their pros and cons. For scenes like in the above pic, I'd go with Saarl. but for others, more stricktly focused on the characters, I'd go with Wintry. (they're easily my 2 favorite artists among those I've commissioned)
