I'm picking my way through my post-comic art backlog @.@
I don't often do model sheets, but this was too good of an opportunity to pass up. I found
Kevbot's blog online a couple years back and it was a shitload of fun to read, and I discovered he was one of those "well, I think I'm a furry but this online-furry stuff is...kinda overwhelming" sorts. WELL. Time for some introductions!
I've been meaning to do this for him for literally a couple years, but only recently wrestled the time to complete it after he made a formal request for some collaboration...not to mention I finally met him iRL at Disneyland this year, so I confirmed he really IS as fun as he is online. Tried to hit his birthday as a deadline...um...and at least started it then ^ ^;;
So it's kind of exciting to pop someone's avatar cherry Mixing in some of his known interests, plus actually trying to make a RL resemblance (he's totes cute, BTW), came out with this, an extremely huggable cartoony bear.
And just for fun, I added a few bonus doodles, featuring a few of his favorite things (the man has good taste .
I'll note that up through high school I was primarily a vehicular artist, and I didn't even attempt cartooning until college. My first lessons at making cartoons were basically fanart, so working with animated characters is old hat to me, and tons of fun to revisit here. I should do it more often.
And yes, the Dr Pepper is a bit of an inside joke, and it worked better than trying to have them eat cereal with one hand.

LOL... quite true. I don't have that much internet time anymore. But I still try to go online as much as I can. I am looking for the usual stuff. Can't find one that would be stable enough for me to stay comfy. =3 Would draw something up sooner or later... *grins*

Wow, your start in fanart really does show here, Vince! I have to agree, both Tony and Baloo look spot-on, especially Baloo! Both of them have always been faves of mine, though I have to say I like Little John more than Baloo. Now I want to see you draw Talespin's Shere Khan. :D
And maybe I'm just the only dissenter here but I don't think your Kevbot looks like Doug at all. You did use a similar color for his fur but it's much darker than Doug's. The glasses are also too large and his muzzle is neither large nor squarish enough. He does, however, seem to have Doug's sweet, kind demeanor and it is indeed a very good character design. :)

I realized the logo on Kevbot's shirt ! That's Horizons the theme park ride that used to be at EPCOT ! That was one of my favorites when I went to Walt Disney World 20 years ago. Oh man, I missed that !

Oh yes definitely. It seems like most furries only care about Don Karnage, but I much preferred Dump Truck. I was totally into TDFA back in the day XD

Really? Well, it's a shame that that ride at ECPOT isn't there anymore because it was replaced by SPACE My personal EPCOT attraction was Journey Into Imagination because I liked Figment & Dreamfinder but alas they went and changed the attraction for the worst ! It's not the same anymore. *Sigh*

They removed both Dreamfinder & Figment from the attraction because of a change in sponsors and changed everying for a bland version of Imagination. Not surprisedly, the attendance went downhill so after a few years, they brought back Figment and changed the attraction to fit him but it's still not the same without Dreamfinder and the original storyline.
I think the abbeviation was TDA, I guess. Speaking of the Disney Afternoon, Boom Kids Comics had brought back Duck Tales and Darkwing Duck in comic book form. No word on TaleSpin yet.
