I have that necklace in real life. It's sort of a choker, but I wanted it to be visible because it's important to me.

Aww, but Abyss really does only -look- scary. ^_^; Mostly just that he's angry and hurting and annoyed with the way the world is all the time. But he's crankily sweet in his own way. Just covered in spikes and unpleasantness.

This is a furry that I'd invite home for dinner, and would make a pass at with the slightest encouragement. I don't think that Abyss would be in the mood...

I really do understand; real friends and lovers aren't just a bowl of cherries. Sometimes BeastInShow is in a beastly mood, so I try to comfort her, and if she's not in the mood to accept that, I'll understand, and stay out of her way. Sometimes she is in the mood for furry beastiality, so I make sure that I've always got a roll of paper towels next to my waterbed to wipe up the spooge. Friendship and love isn't just about the fun times - and doing as much as one can to help, especially when things are exceptionaly tough, is an essential and inherent part of a really close loving relationship.
