Happy Trails
<<< PREV | FIRST | NEXT >>>
Seacil Seahorse takes Truent and his merry band of youngsters up a lesser known, river route to the quaint town of Iaco. It is here that, through fortune, they meet up with two new members to Team Save the Day![/i], Byron and Bosky.
After a good night's rest, Truent and friends restock on supplies at Bosky's parents', general store while Byron's folks, who operate the local inn and sponsor a little, touring business on the side, allow their son to show our heroes the safest way to the sacred spring atop Mt. Nickian. After all, what could be safer than traveling with a big, strong dionsaur-dude to a place of holy significance?

<LoL!> The Save the Day![/i] crew will stop at nothiing to, uh, save the day!
Of all the fantasy elements in this story, I think our young friends here help embody the most playful side of going on a grand adventure. In this case, Berto knows he needs to do something, but won't do it without his good pal, Kaffre. They have fun and meet the hapos and Truent (Mr. Banana Head) who takes them to add more friends to the mix.
Now, amidst a sea of youthful antics, they are building their ranks while taking a playful approach to a very serious matter. Anyone else would be scared to face a demon, but not our Save the Day![/i] crew. They know they can do it and that, like in the story books, everything will be okay, because the good guys always win. :)

It's true - all the best adventure stories, however serious, have an element of fun and play about them! And our intrepid band of tiny tots embody everything that's great about a quest narrative! ^.^
Also, poor Crump, he's just not getting through to the others the difference between pocky-pants and diapers...

Awwwww, it's all super adorable! :D The way you portray us all makes us really cute but also gives us a lot of fun attitude! A lot of fun scenes with all of our (mostly) good-natured ribbing and silly antics! :D I'm glad I (well, and my parents!) get to help supply diapers to the members of the crew who need 'em! :D I hope we can reach our goal and help out that way too! It's really neat how they're doing all that silly fun stuff even in the midst of a serious mission. Like you and Zee-Zee say, it's really a part of any good adventure story to have characters who can have fun even when something potentially dangerous is goin on! I'll just have to avoid bringin' diapers up with anyone who doesn't like it, like Crump - or at least *try* to avoid bringin' 'em up! And if I can, I'll try my best to avoid misusing sacred springs, at least naked and while caretakers are present! :D Otherwise I'll get noogies and tickles. X3 *giggles* And I'm glad I got to appear with pals I know like Toroth and Zee-Zee! I'm glad Toroth, Tacki, and I and Byron all know how fun and helpful diapers are, in wartime or peacetime, and with Zee-Zee helpin' people feel better about wearin' 'em, or at least giving a lil tease. :D But anyway, thanks so much for including me in the story, Yosh-E-O, and bein' so thoughtful about putting in the different things I've done, and in general for sharing your cute, fun stories with us all too! *hugs the nice and friendly Yoshi ducky!*
<LoL!> I've been looking forward to writing you and Byron into the story for quite awhile now. Fortunately, though, the time it took me to get here allowed me to get to know Bosky better and, thus, I was able to sneak in a lot of the nifty adventures you have had with Fuxie, Nishi, and Oxnard into the story in a fun and creative way. :)
<LoL Again!> As for diapers, it's interesting when you think how each member of the team who is still in them thinks about them. Zee-Zee, as we know, is a huge potty advocate while, in this story arc, MJ and Kaffre are just out and getting used to the "big boy" lifestyle.
With regard to you, I had thought about the "alternate artwork" for Nishi's Four of a Kind[/i] and ran with it to go with all the other nifty things I've kind of picked up from seeing your arts and conversations.
That said, Creative Campaign[/i] has, aside from being a fun write, been a great challenge in trying to nail everyoe's character "just right." I'm no Byron, Bosky, or Zee-Zee. However, I am quite the dino ducky and seeing how well I can "creatively" write everyone into the tale while maintaining their integrity has been quite rewarding. :) Oopa!

Yup, yup, yup! The stage is set and everyone has found their own way of getting to that special place where it's all going to come to a happy ending, or go down in a blaze of glory. Either way, our young friends are going to do all they can to make the experience as jovial as possible so that there are no worries, or sad faces, along the way. Go team Save the Day![/i]
Those were some fun times at the sacred spring. B-)
Haha, Bosky and Byron (now I know his character's name!) were a great addition to Team Save The Day! And seem to have had some exciting little adventures themselves. (: They definitely added to the fun that all these little dudes seem to be having with each other - and as always, I think it's kinda fun when you hint at these things in writing instead of being too blunt with them. X3 I'd never mind that being the case, but this way is cute and silly, and probably reminds me of how cartoons would handle it too. :3
Hopefully they don't get the wagon too roughed up or soaked by the end of their tickle fight! It's a nice little chapter to have before the climax comes up! :D Great job as always, yo!

Oopa! Amidst all the seriousness of Sotelo and Hex's journey we definately needed a little fun and silliness to break up all the anxiety and tension that is mounting.
I'm also glad you liked the subtle ways in which I wrote so much cubby activity into it. You're right, cartoons do have a neat way of sneaking in "fan service" without directly saying, or portraying, it. As this story is meant to be a fun project / genuine fantasy adventure, I'd hate to go outside of the lines by seeming like, out of nowhere, I strayed from style by going all cubby / diaper crazy. Besides, for all those involved, they know their characters and what they're doing. :) <LoL!>
Almost there, poor Fudgy has been waiting now almost a year for that part I told him he'd have. Though, at long last, I'm just about to FINALLY write him in. :) Hurray!

Oh snap, I hadn't commented on this one yet! Well, while of course I'm always happy to see more of Toroth, I really want to commend you on how well you captured Byron's personality! The fine line between rambunctous and bratty can be a fine line to tow, but I could easily imagine Byron speaking and reacting that way (and FW said so himself in your shouts too). This is made even all the more amazing that as far as I know, there's been no RP between you and FW, either. You truly have the talent for capturing personality through dialogue.
Man, Crump is acting more like a GRUMP. XD
I also like how everyone is drawing closer to the Sacred Spring. It's fascinating to see all these story threads beginning to truly converge on one point.
Oh, and "Team Save The Day"? Awesome name. It's full of hope and perfectly for what some adventurous kits, hatchlings, cubs and hapos would come up with.

Yup, yup, yup! Team Save the Day![/i] definately fits the lot of tots nicely. Now we only have to wait and see how they'll truly impact the end of the story. Most may think a bunch of kiddos can't do a whole lot against a super evil force, but I think we have a few players in the wagon that may just have a few tricks up their sleeves and/or in their nappies. :)
