This be my only console: Nintendo Gameboy...the original one. Not fancy like today versions, but retro, too cool for school. Also my 5 games:
Dr.Mario, Bubble Bobble, Bubble Ghost, Tetris, Boulder Dash. I so wanted to have Super Mario World and Mortal Kombat on this baby. Maybe now i can look up for those games. XD

Picture taken by mobile phone, hence the crappy quality without propper lighting...

Bubble Ghost has only one music track...BUT F*CK is that addictively good!

Object of the game: Guide the bubble out from the castle without letting it pop by touching null object. The ghost is immortal, but the bubble is not! Short fun game for 1-2 hours. I've beaten it via a shortcut in the castle twice or so. But it was pure luck, not skill as you can see in the video above. Music is great! I enjoy it much! A classic in my ears.

Yup, I know the feeling. I was the only kid in town, who know what a TicTac was when i got this. Hungary was so wa back from the world, that every thing my grandparrents gave me from Sweden was like a piece of the future. As for the condition. I treasured this, as i know how much it costed. It was an expensive present even for my gradparrents. I also keep it in good shape, as it is a memento now and a heirloom. I will never sell it. never.
These games did not needed tutorial. You just started and taught yourself. A save option would be nice though, since many times I was forced to break the play, to do something else. Playing with one of these results in a different kind/level of entertainment then playing with something, that came out nowadays.
Yeah I remember one of my favorites being Bomberman vs. Wario. That was a whole lot of fun! Me and my cousin both got gameboys for christmas one year and we kept accumulating games for them and exchanging them. He got a lot of arcade-style games for his while I got more mainstream ones.
That clip...On mine the clip of the battery cover is a bit loose, but it's still un-damaged. The cover itself is a bit loose, but it's still in place. It happened once that the batteries were moved out, and I've lost my game progress, but It only happened once, so the loose battery cover is not that much of a bother - and my game progress wasn't big of a loss. These games are easy to catch on, once you turn the console off for a pause. I've lost my progress on Super Marion once due to low battery power. Was a bit frustrating...
Anyone wants to buy this baby? I'm never gonna sell it! This console is too cool for the new generation, that came after me!

Feck yes! NEVER sell that! It's a piece of technology that's worth showing to the younger audience, as is every other console released before the present generation.
I can just picture myself saying, "When I was your age, we didn't have that there fancy-shmancy Nintendo 3DS... We had this," and then I'd hold up the Game Boy Pocket featured in my profile picture. XD

I don't remember on the date when I got mine. I was a little girl. Had it even today. If I known how much I would love it, I would have even the box, and plastic that held it inside. Sadly, the box was on the garage and time ate at it, and it was thrown out. But I still own "the white brick" and even gotten Super Mario Land to it since then in 2015's X-mas. Every bit of fun I remeber it was in my childhood! Tho' it could have backlighting...
I remember when I first got my Game Boy, my parents bought it used from the family of the original owner, a boy who died of cancer. It came with Tetris and Final Fantasy Legends 2. I played on it a lot during my childhood, especially when I got Pokémon Blue in 1999. Sadly, I have lost most of my original games, likely pawned away by my money grubbing brother. However I still have my Gameboy, but it no longer seems to work as it ended up being stored in the family garage for a while. :( But... just looking at it brings back those good old nostalgic retro memories.
