Rough sketch for a contest. I didn't really look at any references and now I'm suffering the suspicion that grizzly bears don't, in fact, have a visible tail.

You are very pessimistic! I'm wolf-bear... probably that doesn't count anyway.
Actually I don't know a bear that doesn't fit to the criteria you mention, still I'm sure such an exception exist... somewhere. :D

Gorgeous work. I'm liking the ?painting ?anointing hand - the middle-fingers-together spread is a nice touch - and her tied-back mane-hair very much.

And I read her as polar by the way.
