Some of you are familiar with the Combo Cub, a character who started out as a plush toy version of Intrepid, and who gradually took on a life of his own.

A number of years ago, I decided to try my hand at making a "real life" Combo plush toy. I found a teddy bear in a second-hand store and sewed on the cheek ruffs, the black raccoon mask, the tail and the topknot (which is actually connected to the tail by means of a stripe running down Combo's back).

The flamingo chick (an unaltered plush from an unknown company) is a representation of Cheri Daawn, Combo's "firstfriend" and BFF. Cheri is © her creator, Johnny Amburn.
