This is a WIP that I am doing for a friend. This is his fursona dressed up as Travis Touchdown from No More Heroes. There are two primary concerns I have, one of them indicated by the blue lines I drew in.
1. His stance/pose seems awkward to me. It looks as if his upper body is bent or pushed forward compared to the lower half of his body (especially in relation to his legs). What happened was that I attempted to draw him out with clothes first. I usually try to draw a naked version of the body first, then place the clothes on, but that's a tiresome task so I wanted to see if I could skip the first step with this drawing. This unfortunately caused the problem. The blue line indicates where I think the problem lies; it's either his back or that his right leg is shifted outward too much. It could be something else that I am not seeing.
2. I fail at drawing clothes, so logically that would mean I suck at drawing folds. I was hoping someone could do redlines of how I should draw out the folds (his pants are jeans, and I have no idea how to go about that). I want to know what others think first so I left most of it as simplistic as possible (without folds). The blue question mark refers to whether or not the chest lines should be visible. I imagine that his shirt is tight enough in the chest area to show those lines, but perhaps t-shirts don't work that way.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is still a rough sketch of things, so I can still change things if needed. Thanks in advance.

The clothing looks fine to me, however to help the stance, I would suggest putting in a bend in the legs, might help with the forward looking posture.
Now my major concern are the wings. The bone structure of any wing should be a Z-shape. What you have done is an L-shape. This is an excellent tutorial on how to draw wings (birds in general)

I had trouble myself when it came to wings. Went through 5 different versions before I was able to actually realize what should have been.
Oh and just a quick little nit pick, the sleeve on the left arm should be pulled down a little. If you ever wear a jaket and bend your arm in such a manner, you will notice that the sleeve will shorten up in relation to the arm. So you can either shorten the length on the left or lengthen on the right. I suggest adding to the right; will give a more baggy look to it which I assume is what you're kinda aiming for.

Thanks for the advice on both the stance and the sleeve. Perhaps a bend to his legs would indeed help. I have trouble visualizing it possibly because this sort of stance is meant for plantigrade feet that are firmly placed on the ground. With the way I drew his feet (an attempt at some sort of hybrid between plantigrade and digitigrade), it just looks more like he's tip-toeing. I'll just have to experiment a little bit and see.
The wings on the other hand were just rough shapes made without references just to get a general idea of how the overall pic would look like. I lack the experience of drawing wings, which is why I thought the wings are shaped like that. I will definitely be using references once I get to them, so I greatly appreciate the link you gave me!

The pose is stiff and you're having problems with center of balance, if that helps
http://i1019.photobucket.com/albums.....viswannabe.jpg crappy jpeg ahoy! hope it's still useful though :P
anyway, basically for the pose, a head that's pushed forward is going to give a hunched-over feel and look not as confident as the guy's face you have here. Have the head pulled more over the body, and curve to compensate the shift in weight. He'll have a leg pulled underneath him to help with support. look up some things on "center of balance" for this :] I also fixed the arm for you. Foreshortening! Look in a mirror and try to put your arm in the same position - the elbow's angle will be much closer to the shoulder than to the waist.
Look at some references for the clothes - those look very stiff and lifeless. Cardboard-ish. Look at people who are wearing jeans, coats, etc in pictures and stuff. Get some neat folds into there! But make sure you use reference pictures so you understand how folds work in different kinds of fabric and clothing.
Hope this helps! good luck!

Thank you very much! The image definitely helps me understand what's wrong here. I was thinking along the lines that his balance was indeed off, hence the hunched over feeling. I had no idea it might've been partly because his head was not in proper alignment with the body (spine?). I see now that most of the weight of his body needs to be shifted to his left leg for that compensation.
For the folds of the clothing, I'm having difficulty trying to derive lines from the folds I see in real life photos. You can tell which part of the fabric is being clumped, pushed outward, or wrinkled with shading/coloring, but to try and accomplish that with just lines can be very tricky methinks. I'll definitely look into it more.
Thanks again!

Thanks for your input! I'm definitely working on the wings now. I've been too busy with some stuff that I haven't had much time to work on the pic unfortunately... I am looking at some references as Husky657 suggested. I've changed the shape of the wings from an "L" shape to more of a "Z" shape. The segment that connects to the back will be thicker so that it looks like it can support the wing. I'm very poor on wing anatomy so I may very well do a follow-up or something. xD
This may be a day late and a dollar short, but http://darlingmionette.deviantart.c.....ds-1-176116285 is a great tutorial on folds and clothing in two parts. Though I have to say that your clothing looks fine, other than the lack of wrinkles. :)
Also, keep in mind that when you're doing figues and characters, their bodies are rounded, even when the parts are flat, so the wings wouldn't have a sharp bend, even if you make them z-shaped, but curved. Same thing with the ear tips.
The stance issue has already been addressed, but even if it hadn't, I'm afraid I have no idea how to fix it. I'm not so great at that kind of thing.
Hope that helps!
