Ohman, this is awesome stuff as always!
I loved the segments about Vera. Especially Rufus. That was just plain CLASSIC.
Jimmy was also very well done, I had a lot of laughs.
Ferramin made me break out laughing. XD
Nicely done, B-Hop and everyone for their voices. Farallon did a wonderful Morgan. XD
Look forward to the next part~

Heehee! The Unsheathed guys really delighted me. I came up with the idea for this after hearing how frustrated K-Fish was over the Celtics loss to the Lakers. So I wrote a script and asked if they would be willing to record it for me. I was so thankful and delighted when they recorded it and did such an awesome job with the lines.
Sorry about that, Sly. In this case, it was just a matter of pacing. The answer you gave for your nickname was so long, it really slowed down the energy. Maybe we can do a one-on-one with T. Matt some time and include the nickname explanation, then. That would be a better format for it, I think.

1. LOL Celitcs...I would've ranted the same way from the season before last when the C's embarrassed the Lakers (especiially game 6) but the Lakers didn't have Bynum or Ariza at full strength so I didn't sweat it too much. and then Perkins got injured in game 6 of the next Finals i somewhat cringed and laughed the irony when the C's made the excuse of not having Perkins... I would love to have a rant like that if if helps out.
2. That would be cool! And I understand cause well I had come up with something on the spot for that but it was an effort. And Heck I'm just Happy you liked me as Malone!

HEY!!
Heehee, really glad to hear that, T6! And yeah, I just love hearing all the voices when an episode is fully put together. My favorite thing about making these episodes is still getting new voices every time, and once again, it was great to put in brand new talent into this episode.
You know, at some point, I should come up with a list of all the furries that have ever given voice contributions to the podcast!

*grins* Always happy to lend a hand or three. And yeah, perhaps a recorded shout out to all the recording voice talent might be in order!
Oh, I'd also like to collaborate with you on a small recording - something special for the fans of T-Matt and Jimmy, if you're up for it!

Wow, props to
farallon for his voice... he really went all Morgan Freeman on that, and that's pretty cool!
And awesome to see this up! Everyone did a good job on this. ^^

And yeah, lot of terrific performances in this one. And lots of new voices. It was a lot of work putting it together, but hearing everything assembled makes it all worth it.
*Loves that bit about the Rabble fans* For those not in the know, the 2010 playoffs were the first-EVER playoffs for Rocky Mountain House--and they joined the league in 1980. While they narrowly avoided becoming the first team to go 30 seasons without a playoffs debut, they're now the first team to go 30 seasons without a championship.
"I'd hit someone else for that."
So you know, Rax was totally clutch. I had written that line for Shane Rufus months ago, but like a dummy, had never gotten around to asking Rax to record it. I found him online while I was editing the podcast and he recorded it for me on the spot, e-mailing it to me in like 20 minutes.
CLUTCH.

Thanks, JT! Yeah, I'm really pleased with some of the voice work in this. Not only is
farallon's voice incredible, but his recording quality was outstanding. It isn't hard at all to hear him be the announcer for that entire episode. And it's wonderful to have someone be able to play B-Hop-- that doesn't sound squeaky.
nepper sounded great, I'll be going back to him again for sure.

Thanks, V6! I'm glad to get this up. It had been way too long since I'd released an episode. I had no idea the off-season was going to be so busy. Even this required I devote all of Sunday producing it instead of addressing a dozen other things that I need to take care of before the season begins on Wednesday.
Who knew managing a sports league was so much work?

Just gave it a listen. Awesome, as always. Beneath the Hide was hardcore, and the Unsheathed part was so unexpectedly great. I'm a sucker (comedy-wise) for side comments that get way overblown by other people.
Great listen as always. Although, after
jtigerclaw's write up of Wendy Brown, I really, really, REALLY want to hear her go off on someone. XD

Thanks, XL!
farallon and
azntiger brought that Beneath the Hide clip to life. I was a little bit bummed because I wanted to compose some original music for that segment, but it was so late and I was desperate to get the episode released that night, so I ended up slapping together the music from premade clips out of GarageBand. It worked this time, but hopefully I can pace my production better so next time I can compose something.
And yeah, I was so pleased that the Unsheathed guys were willing to help out. A loooooong time ago I asked the Knotcast crew if they would be willing to record something for an episode and they never got back to me. I hadn't asked any other podcasts until this one if they would contribute, and I was just delighted when
kyell and
kmhirosaki got back to me with this marvelous recording.
I'm a sucker for drawing connections between different parts of the fandom, which is why adding a clip from Unsheathed was such a special treat for me. I love being able to put in references to things outside of the FBA but part of the furry community. For me, it makes the FBA Universe much better than if it were a closed, separated world from everything else out there.
And Wendy Brown is coming. There's two more segments to this episode I still need to produce.

What's so awesome about that line is that I didn't have to direct
kmhirosaki at all. I sent he and
kyell a written script and they recorded it themselves, so I was really concerned about lines like that where I didn't include any indication of how sarcastic the delivery was supposed to be. But as it turned out, I didn't need to be there-- the otter hit every mark perfectly.
And it's true, the last couple of years have been awfully dramatic for the Thrust. In the '09 Finals, it was clear that the Thrust were just a beast of a team with Hopper, Doral, Katz and James filling out a well-spread, powerful roster (even though James was shut down by Chesuk.) But the combo of Knutten, Mongoste and Chesuk was just too much. It really was a battle between two titans and Huntsville came out on top-- by a single buzzer beating shot in Game 7.
And for the next run, the way I see it, Hopper was so driven and determined to win, he made up for everything lost in losing Katz and James. Where in the '08-'09 season, Hopper was an outstanding player but probably second to Zip-Nut-- in the '09-'10 season, there was no question at all, Hopper was the best player in the league. If Stoat hadn't exploded in his stats the way he did, no question B-Hop would have had his second MVP in a row. But B-Hop giving everything he had for 80 games meant there was too little Hopper left for the playoffs-- which is why the bunny ran out of steam and couldn't finish.
Von Wasser sees that, and is determined to bring back the same magic. The bunny needs help, and he's getting it through Swinton and Conner. With any luck, a Hopper, Doral, Syevens-Quiles, Conner, Swinton lineup will bring back that old magic. And this time, there won't be a buzzer beating shot in the 7th.

Does
Alex F. Vance ever give a poor performance? It was great to hear the Stoat character being voiced again. It's been way too long. Thanks for the compliments. Everyone did a fantastic job. It's always so much fun to be able to bring together the talents of so many members of the fandom together in these episodes.

...but I think I'll stay. I'm more of a baseball guy, but when someone puts this much enthusiam into anything, it's worth keeping an eye on. Plus, I think I could get into this more than regular basketball. Hey, if you ever need an extra player, drop me a line - I love character creation.
Props to ya.
Oh, and by the way...
JIMMY!!!!!!

Thanks, bud! Hey, if this whole FBA thing were only fun for furries who were already into basketball, I would feel like it was a failure. It's really important to me that even though basketball is the theme of the FBA universe, it's inviting to those not interested in the sport, or even sports at all. Glad to hear you like what you're seeing.
And be sure to make yourself available come next draft season! Every year there's a huge opportunity for everyone to create new players, and it's one of the most exciting times on the FBA calendar!
