his new fursona, a canine/feline hybrid that's also a cyborg. I partly helped come up with the design (the wings and hair anyway)
(p.s. why are all the categories "fetishes" here? why can't they have furry art > tame > sci-fi ???? )

I love the pic here. ^.^ Nice mix of colors to set the mood, and his expression seems to be saying, "What the heck am I?" He seems a bit confused at any rate.
And as for the categories thing... well, that probably has to do with FA's history. See, Deviant Art doesn't allow really graphic sexual art on its site, which was annoying to many furries. After a while, Sheezy Art came along and let them post anything from clean fantasy arts to stuff you wouldn't want mom and dad finding in your sock drawer. =P
However, there were some complaints about some of the more twisted furry stuff (no doubt cub furs and diapers among them), and eventually Sheezy banned all adult art. There was pretty much a mass exodus from the site as furries felt slighted by the administration of SA.
Enter Fur Affinity. This site was pretty much born out of SA's ban on adult art, letting in furry artists of all ages, sexuality, and fetishes. Since the site was mostly built to cater to the porn artists, sort of a way to "stick it to the man" (A.K.A. Sheezy Art) for banning their porn, it's no wonder the categories are geared more towards porn artists than anyone else who joins.
I think this is a valid complaint though. Perhaps if someone brought it up in the forums, the admins would bow to our wishes and create the categories we want and/or need.
At the very least, it'd make things easier for artists like you.

ah, see I didn't know any of that. I joined here because there were other artists and furryfans I knew had pages here, so it was a way to post work they could see and comment on (and I could comment on theirs). I have a DA account, but I don't use it for furry art, any furry art I post there pretty much is totally ignored. And was never on or visited Sheezyart.
Yeah, DA isn't so good for furry artists. Once in a while, they'll feature something on the front page or as a Daily Deviation, but for the most part they're ignored. Most of the attention would come from other furries. That is, if you get any at all.
=P Seems kinda backwards really. Here, you post furry art for people to see and meet cool people. With DA, you meet cool friends and then send them to your gallery on the site to view furry art.
If it happens any other way, I'm not aware of it.

That's why a good portion of my DA gallery is fanart of various tv shows... its the only way to get comments. people will go to the page if they know the character. Some of my origonal human characters and human-to-creature transformtion art gets attention as well. And the furry art... nothing. Which is why I stick to furry-specific sites for furry art. I post on VCL too, but they don't have a comment system (yet... seems like they are working on one... but with there, the file size allowed is much smaller, making it tough on my comics).
Probably for the best. I suppose I should do the same. Only problem is that FA is the only site I know of like this geared specifically towards furry art. And I'm of two minds about this place.
For one, I like the artwork that's here, seeing what people can create. Lotta of good art here, really.
On the other hand, I have trouble keeping the adult submission filter on, and it conflicts with my faith. I'm not sure I can stay here, not with that temptation staring me in the face.
Eh, sorry for dumping my troubles here. I just don't know if I'm gonna stay, even when I do start drawing better and posting art. Gonna have to think about it.
Anyway, I hope things work out for ya here. Hopefully you'll have a good audience for your work. And perhaps some good feedback as well. ^.^

Maybe you should stick to looking at sites like "yerf" (if that's still around) its hard to get in, they're VERY picky, but at least its all clean art posted by the artists who are a part of it (the occasioanl tasteful nude with nothing bad showing or characters in bathingsuits, but nothing over the top)
I'm archiving my comics (other than, and including Volcano) on VCL currently.
Finding furry-only sites inclusive of all skill levels but stay clean is VERY hard to do (I haven't found one).

The pose throws me a little. He looks like hes looking at his paw yet his eyes are looking elsewhere. Makes him look like he's spotted something hes preparing to defend himself from.
About the submission limitation, that urks me some to. Its like the admits are trying to nudge you tword adult art.
