Well, a few things.
Usually there's someone willing to pay for something, and that's generally more important to me then doing art for myself.
Also, if I draw things I'm good at in my free time, I'm wasting that time. That's for drawing things I'm bad at and learning to be good at more things.
Annnnd, while I'm perfectly happy to draw it for other people, it's just not really my thing. I could draw some trees or something.
