At Midwest FurFest, 2010, I commissioned the talented and professional artist,
Tiberius, to draw in my relatively small sketchbook, "Action".
This character, Cox Corvas, is one of four brothers and one sister. He is a whimsy: a breed of magical construct that I came up with some years ago. They are stitched together, magically, from component parts and given life by magic. Most are treated terribly and, in their homeworld (my fantasy RPG land, "the Skylands") are seen as less in social status than even a slave.
Cox, an NPC in my tabletop "Dungeons & Dragons" (soon to be "Pathfinder") game, has appeared only a few times to vex the players. He escaped his cruel master, liberated his brothers, and stole a pile of spell books. He's taught himself to be quite an accomplished wizard. Originally crafted to be a loyal scribe, you may notice that his finger talons are actually ink quill nibs. He is as his master created him. In his last appearance, the PCs were caught between him, his revenge, his insane sister, and their former master. His creator has since fled from civilized lands and has become a wizard on the run from the magistrates. Cox has appeared in roles both villainous and sympathetic; on one hand trying to capture slaves to sell (to fund his vengeance upon his master) while on the other attempting to warn away the PCs from danger in his sister's insane schemes.
He is fiercely intelligent and devoted to his freedom above all else.
This image of him was left largely up to Tiberius insofar as clothing and pose are concerned. I described him to her and she did an amazing job. I had never envisioned this exact style of clothing before but -from now on- this is how he'll be appearing in my games and stories!
THANK YOU, TIBERIUS!
