I had originally made the design (plus the roof/light on top) a while back to put on the back of one of my laptops. I recently picked up a small server rack and decided to scale it up and do a cut of the Tardis to put on the side panel for the rack. This was the highly simplified steps it took to do. (I was lazy and didn't take hardly any photos of the process).
After I got it cut and weeded I found that one of the door panels on the right-hand side somehow got messed up when I scaled the design up. I ended up re-cutting a panel piece the correct size and replacing it (As seen in the final photo I'll post in a minute).
Because of the size of this decal, I had to apply it using a center hinge method (As demonstrated here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzfsZSEziUk)
I trimmed the backing/transfer paper right up to the edge of the design in the 4 corners and in the middle to make sure it would be properly aligned, then used some clear packing tape in the middle to keep it in place (would have used masking tape but I couldn't find any).
